I still get bugged about marauders/warriors having mana, but I guess that's the only way you could have the skill web work the way it does. Still, wish there wasn't so much pot chugging early game.

Also I found a blessed orb, I wonder how much it is worth. What's weird is that I have not found a single chaos and only 1 alch in about 50 hours- In closed beta I was finding them pretty damn regularly.

Farming vaal for weapons/armour and selling them to <level 26 characters is netting a good alch income though..

Cruel is so much more fun than normal difficulty. Feel like I get good drops at a much better rate.

Not at all. This lvl 18 one is like... 99% physical damage, +lightning damage, huge attack speed, good accuracy and fire resists. I think the listed damage range was 50-72. It's a 3 link with a 4th isolated socket too. I've tried on so many different maces or staves and they are all worse.

All of my gear is extremely out dated. I'm basically stuck farming fellshrine at lvl 48 and will probably end up staying there until I get upgrades.

I have like 1350 HP, 350 armor, 45-50ish resists and about 200 DPS self buffed. I haven't gotten an armor upgrade in about 20 levels except for a ring.

Damn those stats seem low to me.

Im lvl 41 staff specced templar and im @ 1k armor (+ one flask has +89% armor) 2 resists maxed and 3rd at 50%. With normal attack i do 220dps (430 with lighting strike and glacial hammer).

I do have only 700hp(lol) and basically no barrier shield :P but i feel only high burst dmg can kill me.

Hadn't played this since a very early beta. I have to say, my 5-hours impression is pretty good. I really like a lot of the mechanics.

As much as I have been pumping this game, it sure pisses me off when I lose a character to desync.

That's two level 30+ witches in 3 days. Ugh. I am actually thinking about playing soft-core until they get some more issues worked out.

Are you playing hardcore? 700 seems so scary unless armor makes that big of a difference.

I'm level 50 now with 1650 HP, 750 armor and about 40-50% resist all and some stuff in those level 44 zones really hurt. I routinely go down to 30-40% HP.

Yeah, stuff you find early on has actual value. I would keep anything that takes a 1x1 slot. That's about all I know for now for sure.

gosh, even Act 3 normal seems a bit difficult, my dps is uber terrible (69.2 shown on char page, if it's relevant) and not even sure how to go and fix it, it's probably gear.

problem is that my 10 level sword rolled +60% physical dmg and +1-23 lightning damage so I'm kinda stuck with it. and oh, I'm a duelist

I'm lvl 40 in early act 2 cruel, my duelist has over 2000 armor. I took the evasion into armor passive.

Gear seems to be !insanely! variant when it comes to weapons. I saw someone link a level 27 2 handed mace that did 247 max damage on just the weapon damage display.

I think with the way physical damage works, it's crucial to get a high amount of % physical damage but also stacking elemental damage on your weapon+gloves+rings+amulet adds a ton to your DPS. Especially so with the "weapon elemental damage" gem and passives that enhance elemental damage.

I'm pretty sure (can someone confirm?) that spell damage is similar to D2 where the weapon damage has absolutely no say in your total damage. Just stacking +% spell damage increases it + gems? Part 2 of the question is, does elemental damage get stacked on top spell damage, sort of like D2?

Are white items with many sockets/links worth keeping ? I have a few like these in my stash and i'm not really sure if they have any trade value.

3-colored links give a chromatic orb so yes collect those only. ones you linked are probably useless unless you need them yourself.

I would just play with someone. Even if it means pubbing. They can help carry you through the act. It's not worth it to grind anything while you're still in normal difficulty, since any items you get will be replaced when you reach cruel.

At that level it can't be as high as 50-72 (+lightning) unless it had a + physical damage with the +% so I assume 50-72 total which is PUNY at 48. 50-72 seems like a good item for level 22-26. 200 dps with all your gear also seems really bad for level 48.

Surely if you just bought a 3linked flanged mace from vendor and alched it you'd have to be really unlucky to not get a better weapon. I bet you could alt it 10 times and get a better roll. The best I can imagine it being is 99% phsycial plus huge physical and lightning rol;s, which I don't even think is possible to acheive because the item mods are limited by level and I believe 1-32 as max lightning damage for level 18- only because I've yet to see higher. I sold a level 16 or something mace yesterday with a phys and 1-32 lightning roll and it got so much attention- someone paid two alchs for it and I'm like wtf. But it did have a +% fire damage on it aswell so if you use infernal blow or something it is pretty OP for a while.

Are you on EU server? Why are you farming fellshrine? That is good for gaining xp but not good for items. For items get rarity% and go rush/kill bosses.

Alt 15% gold rings + amulets until you get one (or even two) rarity mods on it-and wear rarity items whenever you farm. It is stupid how much difference there is with drops. I get 6 yellows sometimes.

I was/am farming fellshrine because Vaal would decimate me instantly and the mobs aren't too difficult. I figured it wasn't worth farming the normal bosses for loot since their level is so low?

Does anyone know where can i check which support gems work with which skill?

I chosed Spell Totem(Summons a totem that can cast the attached skill) as Q reward and i wanted to link it with sweep and it doesnt work. It works with ice nove which is kinda nice.

Get a bow with poison arrow for vaal, he can't hit you with a little micro. That mace is really bad for level 48, here is a level 18 form my stash.




I have a level 23 one aswell which is better but none higher than level 23... I have one handed swords with higher damage than this at like level 28, never mind a beefy two hander.

Btw a spiny maul which is level 48 has base damage 52-96. Buy one with links and then chrom it- few alts or an alch and voila

Am I understanding it correctly that there is no real downside to starting your character on HC? If you die, it just becomes a SC character, right? The only other implication being that your stashed items stay in your HC stash and don't come over to SC?

1.10 attack speed feels crippled unfortunately. I'll probably do vaal in a group when I get 1 or 2 more pieces of decent gear. I just don't want to get accidentally 1 shot. I only play HC so if I die, it's insta+delete re-roll.
