How hard is it to get all the shrines in domination? Are there some only findable in maps? Thinking about rolling one for funzies.

I find them quite often. I don't know about "all" of them or where to find specific ones. They are a neat little addition, and what is more fun is that when you find one there is usually a very large pack around them so you can run in and hit the shrine and then blast everything down.

I only just started Act 3 Normal. Needle may be able to answer. I think the Shrines are part of the Challenge so if you are going for it, you'll have to do it anyways.

Not getting the dexterity bonus doesn't lower the effectiveness of the eva+life node, it actually increases it (since eva rating has diminishing returns anyways). Both the armor and eva % bonuses only affect base value, so it actually doesn't matter which node you go for if you are taking IR and gearing with pure evasion anyways. It would only make a difference if your gear had a mix of eva and armor (in which case the armor nodes would benefit you more).

there are two rare ones only in merci+ afaik, echoing and divine, one of them seems to have their % boosted since recent patch though, so similar rng like with inner treasure

Ya you're definitely right that dex stacks % wise with the evasion% node, so thanks for that.

Here's some simulated evade chance physical/elemental damage per hit, and average damage per swing.

Top left is my actual accuracy, evade and armor with a guess of IR armor (lvl 20 ranger of similar build that i posted earlier), bottom left is a guess of 10 levels down the line, top right is where I tried to 'break' the numbers to the point where it would be favorable 'No-IR.' I guess cliffs are the have to have both high armor and evasion, and probably a low +armor%. This is all without backing our the raw equipment evasion/armor numbers and cumulative +evasion/armor%s. Sooooo ya, I think this is settled lol.

Still does leave the question is life%+evasion% worth it? Probably since +armor% is so much better we are back into 'diminishing' returns land and would rather have +accuracy and attack speed?

Then try a more DPS typed build like a melee Shadow or caster Witch. Ground Slammer is definitely the slow and steady type.

yeah they're additive and not multiplicative.

armor bonus from the new determination however is multiplied, so it's not a bad idea to stack a lot of armor or eva passives and then run determination.

If you are getting IR, then you have to decide which type of gear you want to wear. You can wear either pure eva, pure armor, armor+eva hybrid, eva+es hybrid, and then armor+es hybrid. IR benefits all of these choices but the passives you take will be different. If you wear pure eva gear, then you can take both evasion passives and armor passives, along with the leather&steel node (but you want to avoid those low 8% bonuses from cloth&chain cluster.) If you go armor+eva hybrid gear, then you'll want to get only the armor passives and the leather&steel node, making sure to avoid pure evasion nodes. Same story for pure armor.

Although you'd probably wonder why someone would get IR and then wear only pure armor gear... I have a marauder that does this. He can't meet high dexterity requirements, so I only wear armor. I get IR so that I can benefit from grace.

So, this EK scion I am making. She's like 42 now. I think I am going to go inner fire and iron reflexes. If I go iron reflexes, my armor all needs to be es/eva gear right?

I think I need arctic armor also. Does anyone have a copy lying around? I had some other choices like glass cannon and complete tank, but I really liked the idea of my auras being super strong and being more tanky.

I decided to not go eldritch battery, it kind of scares me, since my guy isn't tanky yet, I'm I'm cruel and don't have IR yet. Or inner fire. I built the "core" of my build without rushing any big passives. The upside to this, I kill things really fast with 1100 or so dps knives. I'll post my build later and maybe you guys can give me help to see if I'm doing it right.

armor and evasion (armor and evasion, or some kind of wierd mix) = armor, armor/evasion the best, evasion only secondary
armor no evasion (armor, armor and energy shield) = armor, armor/evasion equal, evasion only nothing

And since the build that I will be posting offers +% to evasion, I probably want eva/es gear because of the bonus will probably be worth more than the raw armor.

Es and health and ir build is such overkill imo.

I'm starting over, again, with a Spectral Throw Scion in Domination. I'm so used to playing the Ranger that I don't even know which stats to get. Pure Evasion? Armor/Evasion? Evasion/Energy Shields (does that exist?) I've noticed it plays a little differently, but I only just started Act 2 so I need to build up my gear a little bit.

I am high on Strength based on the build so probably Pure Armor? +Str? I don't know.

I've already died twice because I'm trying to play fast and got surrounded by whatever those exploding red things are with the tentacles.

Ideally, I'd like to get to Level 65 to complete that part of the challenge and then experience the end-game/maps, and then switch back to Nemesis.

BTW, Descent Champions sounds fun.
