The gear on his build is really not that bad. About the only thing his build has that's required and reasonably expensive is of course a six link, and then the wand with a crafted trigger socketed skills: a fixed cost. Getting one with good damage rolls might be a bit more expensive than usual, but I'd actually bet on less, because crafting one is going to be so much more accessible with harvest. The rest of the build looks like it basically works with life/res rares, standard for everyone. He uses Inpulsa's, which might be expensive, but you can get rolling without it.

The low life version of the build, which looks like it's much better, you'll need to re-spec a fair bit and use Shavs, Prism Guardian (should be much cheaper this league), Presence of Chayula, which can be expensive, but probably not outlandishly so, and a helmet enchant, which is very likely expensive, but I don't mind having something to chase as long as the base version works well enough.

The build I'm curious to see if it still works is the claim that the Harold build can still work, even after the nerfs. I'd lol.

seems like a great league to ssf it up so might give the league some extra legs for me as well. not sticking it out last couple league makes me feel lost tho no idea what ill be playing. >.<

Made it through the whole campaign day 1 of the league, think that's a first for me.

Playing Bane Occultist, which seems pretty damn broken. Destroying maps with a good number of act 3 blues still equipped.

Sunder feels so weird to use now, moves forward in waves that are so slow that enemies sometimes just walk out of it.

I guess the ultimate answer on cluster jewels was to just tank the weights of the notables relative to the mods that just add stuff to the small passives so much that trying to self-craft something relatively benign from last league, like a large 8-passive cluster jewel with 2 notables you like and 2 sockets, is prohibitively expensive.

Argh, I just want an aug crit craft! Stupid gardens.

I think I'll try a Chieftain with Flame Wall as my main skill and Scorching Ray Totems, hopefully it's fun and works well enough.

Don't think the scorching ray totems would benefit from firing through the wall, no? Maybe blazing salvo totems? Flame wall is super tempting, though. Hitting me right in the D2 nostalgia.

I don't want to fire anything through the wall, I want to scale the burning damage which benefits Scorching Ray as well and it applies Fire Exposure (which I could get somewhere else I guess). Blazing Salvo or anything else that fires through the wall would ruin Elemental Equilibrium though which I want to incorporate via Storm Brand.

Initial impression of Heist is meh, the damn doors take SO LONG to open. Especially agility. Like 6 doors at 10 secs each, it's more time waiting than playing ><

Well, I'm not sure if you or anyone still follow this thread, or if you might have seen already, but they did figure out how to make General's Cry work! First I saw was shield charge of all things, but I'm trying it out now for flashback with blade flurry, and it works great. Seems to be for the sort of people who like cyclone, but, like, targeting enemies is too much effort, but holding down both mouse buttons isn't. Great boss killer, pretty solid but not elite map clearing. Worst thing about the build is probably legion monoliths, as you can't really target particular reward chests or rare monsters, and you don't have the clear ability to unlock the whole thing.
