Couldn’t kill the boss of act 5, the heart of whatever, so starting over rather than eat 30% penalty to all my resistances. Paying more attention to linking gems earlier. Did better in the previous league with an archer I did without a recipe, are swords harder than projectiles or casters?

Uh, no, they should not be much harder, esp before act 5. They are often easier, because they are often robust enough to just facetank everything.

also its normal for characters to be very weak to act 5 bosses, theyre pretty damn over-tuned even for good players... Could have maybe stuck it out. Act 6 and 7 (love 7) always feel like a breeze to me.

Unless youre hardcore of course but since youre talking about penalties that shouldnt be an issue.

But to add, if you want EZ mode, play an arc trap/lightning spite trap saboteur. I thought my righteous fire guardian from last season was OP. Nah. Arc traps. Dat **** cray.

When I was scolding kerowo for not having his support in order, it was pretty hypocritical. I only had my arc mines together, and the rest was lol, because I didn't need anything else. Throw the traps. The screen the dies. Move the on. Throw the more traps.

I had heard that about the arc trap build but am channeling some younger kero playing Diablo with a duelist stuff. Playing to build templates is still difficult as I hit level 52 and haven't seen the majority of gems mentioned yet. I'm thinking being able to open a lot of doors wasn't expected to be a first few times through the temple kind of activity...

I’m getting back from my honeymoon tomorrow and I’ve got 2 days before I go back to work. Trying to figure out what build to play to try and beat shaper for the 1st time. I’ve narrowed it down to BV Ele, Arc Trapper, or Vaal Double Strike Glad. Any opinions? Playing on Xbox if it matters.

Not sure how stuff works on a console, but BV seems like a good choice as you don't need to aim - just power it up and run around.

Brag time, I found the doctor on my first burial chambers. I also found an exalt in the same map. Jesus.

I also sold this watcher's eye for 1ex today. I listed it for 8c got spammed with offers so I removed it and test posted it for 1ex. Also got an insta whisper. There was only one other on poe.trade for 1.6ex and the mod reduced reflect wasn't searchable on the official trade site. Did get robbed and why is it so expensive?

6% increased maximum Energy Shield
4% increased maximum Life
6% increased maximum Mana
46% reduced Reflected Elemental Damage taken while affected by Purity of Elements
1.4% of Lightning Damage is Leeched as Mana while affected by Wrath

Thanks a lot. I was fairly sure I searched for that mod and gotten low results, but now it doesn't seem the case with lowest one going for 100c and most 1ex+. Must have mislooked.

got resists capped, save for chaos only 12%. or 47% I guess when Atziri's is active.

id recommend 5k +hp, portaing and going to town everytime u think u might be in danger (no shame).

Use the immunity from portal to make sure u dont eat a massive aoe after entering portal.

You might not want to use golems or totems at all, cause he might target them when u dont expect it and u jump into one of his attacks (i think this is worse for A5 kitava tho)

Still can't beat that kitava, didn't die this time and it went pretty fast but he popped up and did that read laser thing and my resistances are -30. Looking at the https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2157161 build page it shows:

GLOVES: Vaal Clarity + Decoy Totem + Increased Duration

But I can't find any mention of a Decoy Totem that is a support gem, anyone have any ideas on what it means?

I'm going to re-tool this guy and get his resistances up try again. I'm hoping if you eventually beat him you get the -30 back...

decoy totem isnt a support gem its a totem that taunts.

if you got the -30s resistance thing pretty sure u killed him dawg?

you're in a5 right? the laser thing is part of "beating him". you just talk to the girl on the ship and tell her to sail to act 6?

You always lose 30% after after completing Act 5, then another 30% after completing Act 10.

Well, after abandoning 2 twirling blade builds because they lost that 30% that's pretty annoying to find out...
