Self-cast hype?

I was thinking of going Self-cast anyway this league but with brands, which I didn't play with this past time. Seems like there should be a witch or Templar build which could do both brands and the new spells with minor respeccing.

I played storm brand to lvl 99.

It has amazing clear and once I geared up, enough DPS to kill uber elder pretty comfortably. With just warlord's mark and brand's constant damage, I was pretty tanky too.

But I couldn't get past 40% lvl 99. I basically rage quit after 3 deaths in a few hours that I had no way of avoiding. They were all basically storm brand vs. invulnerable mobs causing a client desync killing me.

Come to think of it, if I were in some kind of rotation group with other people killing while I am desynched, would rest of the group get desynched too?

The league mechanic itself looks cool.

But god GGG has given up and might as well just "take the number and double it" like Blizzard at this point with how much power creep they keep printing every new league.

4.0 will probably bring the difficulty overhaul with new expansion content and ****

I'm 99.9% sure 4.0 will change the early game. Chris said he wasn't happy it has been essentially the same for all this time.

4.0 should change everything i think lol, theyve called it super expansion or something... and 3.0 was the real expansion that added half the new content in the game. Gonna be exciting

pretty hyped tbh

spells are a lot more fun than most attacks imo, though 3.7 will REALLY NEED to get going in fixing attacks (mostly melee)

A bit sad about the brand nerf, but it may still be fine or even just as good depending on the new supports. Not sure any of the new spells have sold me yet, but ES leech looking super interesting.

I struggled a lot of with a CI/Cospri build that had ES on hit and leech from warlord's mark. It was hard to stay alive during phases with nothing to leech (Chimera cloud phase) and I am thinking about going occultist or guardian... basically anything with some ES regen.

Storm brand was stupid and shouldn't have been released how it was since it trivializes so much of content. The game has gotten progressively worse when it comes to skills just making quick work of the content and thus the game has gotten to the point where it gets boring more quickly for a lot of people.

I'm not sure why would anyone want to play Destiny over PoE. My bet is you'll be bored after 3 hours.

If you get bored doing the same thing over and over Destiny definitely isn’t the game for you. However, at least the cycles are shorter than leveling up POE...

How long does it take to do whatever it is people do in Destiny?

You can level to 90 in ~24 hours without being extremely efficient. At 90 you can do most content in PoE.

I haven’t hit 90 yet on a character.

Destiny end game is about grinding for mats for upgrading gear or hoping rnjesus drops better gear. Less distinct things than the maps though, replay ability is better than other shooters I’ve played.
