Had a blast tonight, but kept getting d/c'ed and then it wouldn't let me log in for 10-15 minutes. Seemed like it was only me and not my friends, and it wasn't my internet. Shrug

Pretty fun game. Very old-skool, reminds me of Q3A / Unreal Tournament - Fast paced, no mini-map, no ADS, no sprint (mostly).

Runs very good on PS4. Scuf useful once more, after a few months of useless.

Been mostly playing Bastion on Defense and Soldier on Attack.

I think there is a notification on battlenet about this issue affecting people.

I downloaded last night and will try to play some this weekend. Friends who played most of last night said it is excellent and they were very impressed. (All of them are former TF2 fanatics)

Add me gbebe#1630

I've played it a couple more times and it's fun as hell.

Feels like a souped-up TF2, which is a good thing.

Now I'm considering buying it, even if I don't have much time to play. If I do, I'll go for the $40 version (PC). Don't see why the "Origins" version is worth another $20.

I'm BrownTrout in-game, btw.

EDIT: Looks like in the battlenet software, I'm BrownTrout#1591.

Played a couple of games and agree that it's quite good, probably won't get it as it's MP only and really needs chat to fully enjoy but it's cooler than I expected.

Tried to play but it seems like the game just does not run well enough on my old laptop. RIP. Guess I'll have to upgrade sometime in the future.

My disconnects stopped when I switched routers. Never did find out which setting it was that caused it. It only happened with Blizzard games and battle net.

Good but short sessoin, had several great games with Soldier, occasional Bastion. Prob the noob chars, I haven't really tried others but I like these two.

Had a game or two with a good Angel on our team, that led to crushing.

Going heals wins me matches ~90% of the time because no one ever goes heals. Kinda boring though. I wonder if that'll change when ranked is available. Right now I just wanna go tracer or mcree every game but don't wanna be "that guy."

As far as healing goes I have my best matches with zenyatta. Kinda irritating to go like 8-1 with a ****ing healer and heal 8k damage in a game and everyone still upvotes the guy with the most frags. Oh well.

I've found that 90% of games already have a healer so I don't need to switch. I've also found that people upvote healers way more than anyone else (quite annoying if I have 4 gold medals or 70% kill involvement). Maybe this is a different server thing?

Tracer is easily the most OP, however. It honestly felt like cheating. You're immortal at the cost of having lowish damage output. But it doesn't matter if it takes you 2 or 3 clips to kill someone, because unless you die to one of the many 1-shot mechanics in the game (also stupid) you are simply unkillable.

Yep.

This game wants so badly to be the spiritual successor to original TF2, but it's just so.... meh.

4/10.

My kids might like it, but I'm not going to be dropping 40 bucks on accounts for them. I'd be a buyer at $10-15 with assurances that I won't be expected to buy new game content down the line. Limit micro transactions to pure cosmetics.
this was a while ago so I'm late responding but I just want to say a good genji can totally own tracer with his deflect and insane mobility. it's been done to me several times

I've also been finding that not many other people heal, although I've been playing in a party of 3-6 the entire time. So at least part of the blame is also on my friends. I don't mind healing, I enjoy it, but I just don't want to do it every single game.

I meant EU vs. NA server. And yeh, healing is boring.

Solider is definitely a noob character since it's the one used in the tutorial.

I think Bastion is a noob character, too, but he's my favorite so far (I say that like I'm not a noob or something). I love being a mobile, self-healing turret.

Yeah after a few hours of playing, the "balance" in this game is laughable. Not paying $40 for it.
