I hadn't played since the last promo, but I got back into it a bit the last few days. Baptiste is pretty darn fun to use. He's not easy - takes a lot of thought. I think that's why I like him, though (kind of like why I like Moira, but Baptiste is harder to use).


Also, I played in a game with two players named "Ryan" and "Ryan Sucks." They were on opposite teams.

Still play every week dunno why. Its easy. Mostly mystery heroes for my 3 boxes of things I don't need. Don't see a lot of future for the game though unless they have something big up their sleeve for 2019.

For the anniversary event, there is a cool arcade mode called Hero Gauntlet or something. It's a deathmatch mode where everyone starts with McCree (at least that's what has happened the couple times I've played) and when you get a kill, you immediately morph into a different hero. The player who gets through every hero wins.

I'm terrible at it (I'm not good at deathmatch and am much better with heroes where I don't need good aim), but it's pretty fun. I only got through 8 heroes by the time someone won last night.


I don't remember the exact order of heroes, but for me, it was something like McCree, Soldier, Ashe, Pharah, Genji, Hanzo, Zen, Mei. That's approximately the correct order, but I'm not sure. The last one is Torb.

I had a Facebook ad for tickets to see Atlanta Reign OWL matches when they start having competitions at home. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it to see what tickets cost - maybe if they were cheap, I'd check it out with my son. I've never been to an eSports match before, maybe it would be fun (I doubt it would, but I'd be game for the right price).

Tickets are not cheap. Least expensive ones are $40 before taxes and fees. "Center Orchestra" are mid-$100's. It's in a performing arts venue, so none of the seats are really bad, but man.

What really surprised me was how few seats are available. It's almost entirely sold out. I'm actually pretty impressed. Guess there's a fanbase.

Role queue has made Overwatch playable again.

Also they nerfed Brig into the ground, woohoo!

I've played maybe 7 or so games on the PTR with the new role queue system and 6 out of 7 were extremely pleasant. When everyone is locked into a role everyone just picks their hero and has fun. There's no more games ruined by 4 dps instalocking or having lots of mercy mains on your team. It's such a breath of fresh air.

Only minor inconvenience is that Orisa+Hog is megapowered right now and pretty annoying to play against. I think they need to get rid of some of those Orisa buffs that were put in a month or two ago.

Download ptr, play the role queue, its fun!!

Orisa shield cooldown nerf will be surprisingly effective imo.

Brigitte wasn't nerfed so much as she was turned into more of a primary healer. Because of role queue, they had to do that.

Goddamn, Overwatch is getting dark with this new hero. This origin story is on a different level:

Just tried him on the PTR. He's REALLY tanky. Has a 1500 HP barrier that he can propel forward (kind of like Sym's old one) and then stop in place. To pick it up and recharge, you press the button again. He can also suck up projectiles and turn them into shields.

Feels like he's a big Bastion/bunker comp defensive counter.

I finally let my 10-year old start playing Overwatch and this is his first new hero - he's jumping all over the room.

Wow role que and a new tank character. I might actually return to the game. Havent played in a long time but thats enough to get me back.

I think the video is very well produced and directed but isn’t Sigma just a standard scientist gone mad after accident super villain? Dr. Freeze but with gravity instead.

Did placements in DPS and 3/5 as healer today and it's pretty crazy how much more fun everyone is having and how much more friendly everyone is being now that they can just play what they want to play instead of worrying about switching to something they dislike to make a better team comp.

Overwatch hadn't been fun for a long time for me but today was a good day of it

I experienced a first last night. Played Mystery Heroes and was accused of hacking. With Zarya. Dude actually said he reported me.

Ended up playing against/with the same guy for four games in row. A bunch of the other players were in all four games. Everyone just kept making fun of him, eventually threatening to report him for harassment, as he continued to say ****.

I didn't say much, but thanked him for the complement.

Game should stop when ppl quit so its just 3v6 left instead of the 3 ppl wasting everyones time.

double shield + bastion meta is really rough to watch

She's ridiculously good. At least I think so from using her training and one game on the PTR.
