TF2 and CS are 16v16.

Playing COD4 on PC I played 24v24 and 32v32 exclusively.

20vs20 TF2 servers were pretty fun. It's impossible to tell what will suit this game best, tho.

All 3 of my kids play TF2.

Despite my best efforts to convince them to not spend money on hats, they do it anyway. The 15 year old keeps getting Steam gift cards from people for birthday/holidays and has probably sunk several hundred dollars into it by now. He has a $1200 backpack according to that TF2 value website.

Hearthstone is F2P and made a fortune. Blizzard will likely make a killing with this one as well.

This is where video games are going.

I try to get my kids to try out the classics I loved over the years, but it just keeps coming back to Minecraft and TF2.

Kids these days...

My generation just isn't the target audience anymore.

Who gives a **** about tournament-size teams. Being able to go 20v20 doesn't exclude 5v5 games. But I assume this being Blizzard we won't be able to host our own servers either.

Congrats Blizzard. First legitimately new and not just a spin-off franchise in like... what.. 15 years? Maybe I'm missing something in my recollection of their games but seems long overdue.

6v6 is perfect game size imo. The lack of choice however, I can see how that is disappointing.

I dont mind its 20vs20 or w/e its just u mentioned cs 16vs16 and it was not the best exemple.
planetside 2,cod and tons of others have huge team vs team (natural selection 2 which is awesome).
the thing is the more people are per team the less esport oriented the game will be since u cant feed or gather 20 people like that.
making it 6v6 means they want to take a shot at esports ,not at cod people.

Players would be able to select from classes with names like Reaper, Jumper, Titan, Ranger, and Juggernaut, each of which had its own special combat abilities and items, according to a source. Jumpers, for example, would be agile scouts with a teleport ability and the ability to quickly leap in and out of combat. Titans were tanks, while Rangers were snipers with cloaking and other abilities (think Nova from StarCraft II and the ill-fated StarCraft Ghost).

All of the people who described the game to me made a lot of Team Fortress comparisons both in terms of aesthetics and gameplay. Three people who saw the game have compared the aesthetics to Team Fortress 2, with one source describing it as a cross between StarCraft II's in-game cinematics and Pixar's The Incredibles. Your perspective would switch between first- and third-person based on whether you were heading into combat or hanging out in a city, according to two sources—not unlike Bungie's Destiny.
