Smart marketing by Nintendo, think stuff like that will be definitely be effective. Nintendo needs to build buzz amongst the casual crowd as putting out this OMG revolutionary gotta have cool toy, like they did with the Wii.

100% chance they paid the Tonight Show and NBC for that spot right? That entire segment was just a big in-show Nintendo commercial. Basically talk show version of product placement. 'sponsored content' as they say these days.

That's pretty much what talk shows are though, every single interview he does is plugging something.

Its supposed to be twice as powerful when docked. I really wish they would have made a normal console that I could play all of the Nintendo games. I hate that the machine will be watered down so it can be portable.

The only hope I have is that a TV is more than likely going to be 1080 and the portable part of it is going to be 720 so pushing ~half as many pixles on the go will balance out the power loss.

To put it in relative terms, it's GPU is around one third of an xbox one when docked. Or one eleventh of a PS4 Pro...

I think Nintendo has pretty much decided they are never going to compete ever again in the "power" hardcore gaming sphere.

And that's probably just fine, IF they concentrate on games.

The Wii U would have probably been a success if there were a few kick ass Zelda, Metroid, and Mario games on on it.

Nintendo is probably the only gaming company with the ability to support a console solely on first party games, but they have to like make the damn games.

Not sure how you can go an entire console generation without a single Zelda or Metroid game or a proper Mario game (there were Mario titles but not like BIG Mario titles ala Galaxy)

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't snap buy Mario Run. It would probably be a game I'd feel I needed to perfect and waste a lot of time on it for no reason.
