Yeah I want the motorcycle or something cool to happen. I mean it's cool to have more stuff to do but I'm about 2 hours into the new DLC and so far it's just more of the same. Still great and I didn't know what to expect but hopefully something "new" happens soon.

I hadn’t got the DLC thing until last night. Tried the master sword trial first. Didn’t get very far, even though I was being careful. First set of 3-4 lizalfos wrecked me. Went through most of my food getting them down. Died a few levels later to a single attack, saw I didn’t restart anywhere except the beginning, and turned it off.

Edit

You use it just like any other rune and can summon it nearly everywhere. The bike needs fuel, which means you’ll need to stop every now and then to toss it fish, moblin guts, apples, or anything else for fuel.
For ****s sake!

Not bad enough that weapons break, gotta have this **** too

Haha yea this was pretty much my reaction too. Good stuff but nothing extraordinary. Though I did recently wrap up a second playthrough on Master Mode (116 shrines), so maybe I've been too overloaded with Zelda to appreciate the new stuff.

Spoiler about beginning of DLC2:

Spoiler:
I wish there were more "you die after you're hit once" trials. Those were fun. Forced me to use shields and other strats that I'd forgotten/abandoned a while ago.

Yeah, I was three days into the dlc before I remembered how to properly shield parry the guardians. I kept trying to put my shield up at the right time. D'oh!

Getting my son a switch and Mario Odyssey for Christmas.

Obviously when he goes to sleep that system is gonna be daddy time in handheld mode.

Any thoughts on Golf Story and the Binding of Isaac port?

Golf Story is great, if you played and liked Mario Golf on Game Boy you'll enjoy it. Isaac port is perfect.

Thanks. Those will probably be my go to "gee honey, I don't want to watch whatever this bull**** is but I'd like to hang out with you" games

Isaac is a game I just can't quit. So easy to pick up and play for an hour without having to worry about where you are in the story or what you've already done.

Over 320 hours on the original for me.

God damn. Golf Story is charming as ****. On top of that the golf portion is very decent. Sure, the detail of the greens isn't high, but my misses feel like mine and not like I got ****ed by the game.

Really glad I'm enjoying it as aside from Mario and Zelda it's the game I was most anticipating for the switch.

I can see the need for a pro controller after playing the system for a bit. (Not for golf story, the joycons works great for it.) Trying out the demo for Blaster Master, It's near impossible to get Sophia to aim without moving using the joycons, and that's kinda an important thing to be able to do in the game.

Wasn't sure just how much I would enjoy the system but glad we splurged on it now. My son is loving it so far as well.

I'm kinda terrified of getting into stardew because I've heard it can be a HUGE timesink. That being said, I can see how it might be up my alley so I could check it out when I finish golf story

That’s a lot of old “new” games. Mario Tennis looks sweet though for sure.

Just read that the Skyrim version on Switch includes all the add ones, which can’t be disabled, but mercifully vampires will no longer spawn in towns and perma-kill questgivers and merchants.

Thank

Dream come true brag:

I made a game for Switch and it got announced today, it's released this thursday. I guess I can't show gameplay until monday(USA sunday) but here's a gif. We reworked most of the game and added multiplayer. We also worked with 9 different artists from games like Nidhogg 2, Flinthook and Mercenary Kings so that was really cool. Having a game I made on a Nintendo console is the coolest **** ever though and little kid me would lose his mind.
