Finally beat Metroid Dread last night.

Hardest final boss fight by far at least since some of the SNES castlevanias.

A warning to anyone who ever has to get their Switch serviced...

Our Switch stopped reading game cartridges a while back and almost all of our games are physical, so we had to get it fixed or replace it. Nintendo told us $99 so I figured we should go that route. If they can't fix it they will replace it.

One thing we did not realize, is that some game saves can be stored in your cloud, others, like Splatoon and Animal Crossing, which my kid plays all the time, cannot.

Just wild that in 2022 there is no way for those games to be saved outside of the console itself.

But outside of that the console works great. They fixed our broken kickstand, cleaned it up good and now its also quieter and we are overall happy. Just stinks to lose that data.

Yeah, the selective cloud thing is so ****ing dumb. Nintendo is continually brilliant and also frustrating as hell.

Nintendo also won't stock their ****ING SWITCH N64 CONTROLLERS

I'm willing to buy it and pay whatever for the 64 games

But I want to play them on the native controller and can't.

Nintendo refuses to make more money. ****ing ****s.
