It's called Super One More Jump, basically a "remastered" version of the original. We re-did/polished nearly all levels, added multiplayer and new art.

Nice trailer. Seems like there is some Super Meat Boy inspiration, yes?

Once we had the core mechanic the whole game became inspired by Meat Boy. The level length, flow, difficulty progression, the way it introduces mechanics and even the length of the jump is all based around Meat Boy. There was a lot of "well this is how Meat Boy did it" during development. I kind of wanted every level to feel like you were some boss speedrunning a game like Meat Boy without actually having to be said boss. Meat Boy is a huge reason I started making games. About 9 years ago I watched an interview with Team Meat before it was out and was shocked that 2 people could make something so awesome. The next day I was looking into game development.

As for the art, we pretty much gave the artists complete freedom, we just gave them examples of stuff we like and had very minor to no input. I like some a lot more than others but overall I'm really happy with what we got.

I missed that Kotaku thing, thanks for posting, that's pretty awesome. Yeah I took a bunch of screen shots of the Nintendo store page lol. We haven't got many reviews yet but the ones we got have all been really positive so that's great. Our only review on metacritic is an 8 so pretty happy with that. We knew it would have some stigma being a mobile port so it's cool to see people acknowledge the effort we made for the Switch. Launching against Celeste probably wasn't the smartest idea though. :/

Thanks Tuma and yeah I played City Jumper a bunch as well. A similar game that influenced me was Space is Key, that **** was crack. Also loved bit.trip. We originally jacked the idea of changing the trail with each collectible but it felt a bit too dirty so we took it out.

Haven’t bought Switch version yet, curious if there's any implementation of like a Möbius strip track. If not, make it so imo.

Have played like 8 levels and already 100% recommend for it’s $7 price tag.

What gameplay mechanic am I missing that’s keeping me from getting all three diamonds on level set 1-course 2 tho? Feeling kinda dumb atm. Not going to edit this for LOLs - man I’m getting old.
