Ive had this game for my pc and just got it for my 360. One thing I wanted to know is is there a lot of aim assist in the 360 version that the pc version doesnt have? I cant tell if its just in my head or not aiming just feels a lot different.

yes, its actually kinda ridiculous. i just noticed it for the first time in a while last map on 360. i was playing on wasteland looking into the tunnels waiting for someone to walk through. when he finally came out of his hole the crosshairs just sorta followed him...

i've been using 1 sensitivity. for some reason it still seems too sensitive sometimes. but it would probably help not to freak out trying to melee someone that gets real close to me.

i don't notice any aim assist on the ps3 version. i did during the campaign, obv. but i don't notice anything in multiplayer.

it's definitely there. sometimes i'll be running along and a guy is hiding in the bushes and the crosshairs will start moving and that's how i'll know there's a guy there.

pretty lame that 2 bars is ~1/3 of a second behind. no wonder i rarely win face to face confrontations.

last night i had an epiphany after getting killed by a strafe shooter. steady aim + strafing + shooting from the hip is my new ****.

I notice aim assist hurting me more than helping me. There are many times where I'm firing at someone and the aim assist locks on to someone that runs in front of that person, resulting in my death and me hitting no one.

I'm thinking about turning it off.

I played a new map 'Rust' earlier today...was this the only new map to come out? Its by far the smallest map, I only got to play it once but I liked it, it was a nice change of pace from the bigger maps. Its too small to camp anywhere woooooo

So many things wrong in this game and WaW that another company could sieze the opportunity and release a bad ass FPS (and lol don't say Halo). I like the idea of air support being a big part of the game since there is a solid counter, but too much of this stuff seems like it wasn't thought out. It really makes me wonder if IW just luckboxed COD4 being a really awesome, balanced game and has virtually no chance of ever releasing another one that good. It's still the best console FPS series though imo.

It really is a very easy solution to assign a static IP to your Xbox and make it a DMZ.

it's not that easy cause there are different directions for different routers.

there is a website called portforward.com or something that has the different directions for different routers.

Yes.

I'm not going to Google this for you and I don't know which router you're using so the question is almost unanswerable for your (or his) situation.

Basically, on the router create an IP like 192.168.1.15 and click the option to make it a DMZ (demilitarized zone).

On the Xbox, go into your network setup and instead of automatically choosing an IP address, choose static and type in 192.168.1.15.

Very, very basic instructions, but if you Google it you'll get much more detailed instructions.

Good luck!

Anyone else having a problem playing this on psn right now? I keep on getting this "all players forfeit" thing and it ends or new players come starting with 0 kills and I keep my kill count.

It really is easy, so don't overthink it. I had no idea what I was doing when I did it for the first time.

Google his router model # then the words "DMZ setup." You can include Xbox 360 if you want, as well.

That should at least get you in the vicinity.

I'm well aware that IW didn't make WaW. My point is that successive COD games have a lot of problems. I dare them to release another game as good as COD4--it's much harder than it sounds, and it's easier to luckbox something awesome than actually have complete control over it.
