My buddy just pitched a Perfect Game against me online. With Brandon Morrow. Jackwagon.

FWIW, RttS stories are great. I'm loving some of the dynamic with different teams.

4th game after my callup to the Marlins:

2HR (GS and Solo), 5 RBI's, 3 for 4 with a walk. 3 runs scored. Against Strasburg, btw.

playing my franchise with the Braves... started out the season 6-4... lost a couple nail biters.

anyways, phillies start out the season 10-0... so im like 4 games back lol

so i'm playing vs the mets 3-3 in the bottom of the 8th with runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 out... prado hits a hard flyball/liner to right center... andres torres covers about 50 yards in < 3 seconds and makes the most RIDICULOUS diving catch i've ever seen in 4 years of playing the show to end the inning.

Mets come up top of the 9th with runners on 1st and 2nd and two outs. Josh Thole hits a line drive to RF, right to Matt Diaz... he drops it, runs scores, I obv don't score in the bottom of the 9th... gg.

[?] variance in MLB 12 the show...?

I found weird **** like that happened rather often in the start of the season for me too. IDK if thats intentional or just coincedence, but I dropped like 5-8 fly balls in the first 30 or so games and 0 since. Less botched grounders as well

I'm still terrible at hitting and Braves rushed me. First season in AA, playing as 18year 3B was hitting .170/.170/.230 after 150 AB...then got the hang of it and finished at .256/.275/.370. So Braves management obviously puts me on the major league team to start next season, this is going horrendously, hitting .130/.190/.170 after 150ABs with like 60Ks...completely overmatched, wish they sent me to AAA tbh, but getting slightly better lately

Pitching is much easier, did fine first season as lefty SP in AA, second season after 4 starts 28IP 1.40ERA 31K/1BB pretty much ready for the show

Muckface,
pretty sure it goes by attributes, not stats.

Had to laugh, not at you, but because I thought that too but the message I got when I got called to AAA was "We are sending you up because of your stats, though we don't think your attributes are where they should be." Or something very close to that.

I think in years passed it was more on attributes, this year, as others have said I think it's stats. Have read a few other people saying they've made the pros half way through their first season as batters. I'm a pitcher and on the spring pro roster for the Mets on my second season.

I suppose if you have better stats then you're going to get more training points.

you can ask for a trade...besides, if you end up becoming a decent prospect you'll probably be traded for a 37 year old former superstar

i just had a pretty cool game in my franchise w/ the braves... score 2 runs vs the DBacks in the top of the first only to give up 3 in the bottom of the first. We trade runs a couple times to make it 4-3 (Dbacks lead) going into the top of the 9th. JJ putz comes in and gets two quick outs... Freddie Freeman up who is typically a line drive type hitter but has a little pop vs righties comes up. Goes to 2-0 really fast, so I decide to sit on fastball w/ power swing. JJ Putz lays one down the pipe and Freeman ties the game with his second HR of the game(I fist pump IRL, yes I know I'm a nerd). Pastornicky doubles in the gap next, then Hinske hits a 2 run pinch hit bomb to take the lead. Kimbrel closes the door...

such a fun game because I hadn't hit a homerun in like 5 games or something lol....

also im 14 games into my franchise... I'm 9-5... Phillies are 13-1... wtf... lol. I'm using legend pitching and hitting w/ analog hitting and pulse pitching, so its pretty realistic in terms of stats of players and records and such.

Man you must be really good at hitting lol. Im using All star pitching and veteran batting. My team BA is .261, so its fairly realistic (although Im bottom 33% in runs scored)

Pitching, my ERAs are semi low I guess.

Anyway my fun game story for the day from my franchise

White Sox (me) vs Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Tied up at 4 going into the top 10th. Two singles, and a bunt sacrifice. They walk Dunn. Bases loaded for Konerko and I hit my first grand slam ever. Dont remember the process of the bottom of the inning, but I give up a run, then A-rod hits a walk off grand slam. Was probably the most disappointed a video game could make me lol

lol omg what a heart breaker. it's kinda funny how "into" this game I find myself getting. when stuff gets down to the nitty gritty in the late innings and one of my guys comes through or I blow a game... the emotions seem moderately similar to actual game flow. it's awesome.

but thats totally standard at yankee stadium, I find that my pitchers are always shaken so easily at yankee stadium... which seems pretty realistic given that they are the bronx bombers and its yankee stadium.
