Ah, there's the rub. The other server I've hopped onto is using 1.9p5.

Could consider doing a 1.9p5 creative server? That way people don't have to grind and they can fly around and stuff...

With the illusion of wealth (gotten from time sunk, truly) gone, and with infinite wealth found, we can focus on being creative. Or you could even do a week of each or something, to give the grinders/explorers something to do? I don't know.

The exploration aspect of minecraft is pretty ****ty qua game, yet inexplicably fun...

Anyways, I hope I'm not rocking the boat too much, but I really like how laid back the 2p2 crowd is about minecraft for the most part.

Long shot, but I am looking for a ticket to minecon, I ****ed up and bought one for my son, and did not buy one for myself, and now they are sold out. He is only 10 so he cannot attend on his own...

got bored of survival, and spending hours and hours collecting resources only to get bored of a server and it all go to waste.

Started playing this survival island map. You start off on a small island with really limited resources... there are even objectives... makes single player much more fun.

If you make a waterfall and a lavafall, it'll make a cobblefall, then you can drop into that and build under your island to make full use of all the dirt.

I'd like to figure out where we would like to go with the server and also see if anybody wants to take it over.

I'm not sure how many people are even using it at the moment. I see sfreeland on it regularly but not sure how many people are on at the same time.

I pretty much have no interest in playing anymore, or likely in the future.

First of all the package we have currently is $40.95 a month and is just way overkill for who is playing right now. So the package should be downgraded.

Depending on how many people are playing at the same time, (can anybody help me out with this) that we can choose which package to downgrade to.

Packages range from $9.95, $16.95, $20.95, $30.95 etc...

Preferably somehow would take this over from me and we can just switch all the details. I'm pretty much always available on skype so I can help you out with any management issues you would need up to a point.

If nobody wants to take it over that is fine I'm still willing to manage it. But being that I don't play at all it doesn't make much sense for me to continue to keep paying for it. Especially at $40 a month and we just have the occasional person on.

When I play I see max 3 - 4 other people online, usually 0-1.

Rare to see more than 2 others when I'm on.

Haven't played much (any) MC lately though (blame Skyrim) and probably won't be very active in the near future either.

I was pretty active on the server for a while recently, but I got bored of every single place below my house being abandoned mineshaft and started playing single player, I'm sure I will return to playing the server at some point but I've reached the point where I don't know what else I want to do in the world.

When the server was setup there was a bug in the server version where mineshafts grew at a crazy rate and even generated on top of each other.

If you go to any of the newer generated land or generate new land of your own the abandoned mineshafts are much more rare.

Hey. If you're not playing anymore Josh, no reason for you to keep paying. I'm on there a fair bit, but its slowed down to like 20 minutes every once in a while - I find building small things in my town very calming at work and I've run out of things to build...

If someone wants to take over hosting then let me know their Pokerstars name and I can donate - if we're letting it lapse however, is there a way to get an off-line copy of the map (or parts of it at least)?

Yeah if the server has to go down I can provide a map download that you just put in your save folder.

I played 1.2 once, tried to dig into a cave bc caves looked cool, got stuck in a hole too deep and havent played since.
