it's ok, i found my way out - I worked out that i was stuck in a cobweb

but i found my way into a small part of the mineshaft that had 18, yes 1 effing 8 diamonds in a very small area, thank god there is wood in mineshafts so i could mine it all lol.

I was running along a corridor in a mineshaft and saw a diamond on the wall, so i made a base and found some iron to mine it. turns out there were 4 diamonds there. I went out of the base and round a corner and i find a vein of 8 diamonds, and then only like 6 blocks along i found another vein of 6.

Here is my makeshift inventory, with the 18 diamonds that I found.
