Why the **** would you cut act of treason?

EDIT: freakin i'm sure thats what he was referencing, but act of treason is just good in general, not just vs those 3 cards.

It's also fairly good with the giant, depending on what you steal you can end up killing at the end of your turn. Way better with vampire aristocrat but still good.

Why did they make a new name for Threaten?

EDIT: Ok, I guess they talk about it here: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/magazin...g/daily/stf/47.

Whatever. I think it's pretty dumb to piss away good names for no reason. If you want to switch a creature type for core set, cool, but Persuasion -> Mind Control and Trheaten -> Act of Treason and Raise Dead -> Disentomb seem just dumb.

I am horrible at MEDIII sealed apparently. My rating has dropped about 70 points so far. I never seem to have enough playable cards to make a solid two color deck and the mana base for a three color deck is shaky unless you open multiple sol grails as far as I can tell.
From what I have seen so far, creatures with toughness of three or less are not all that valuable, because everyone plays red and has multiple chain lightnings and fire ambushes. I have gone up against decks that have 5 different single target removal that does 3 damage. There is a ton of removal in general in this format, also there are board sweepers in multiple colors, so you need to be careful not to get blown out. From what I have seen of games the boards tend not to get cluttered because of the massive amounts of removal and whoever can stick a creature first is normally going to be the person who wins the game.

I have a stupid question...

When the new set is released in October, is the Lorwyn block rotating out of Standard?

I've been away from this for a while obv.

the only non-rare board sweeper is famine afaik. make a 2 color deck (the 2 colors with the most playable creatures) and splash a third color with removal. sol grail isn't even too good. There are so many better 3 drops. Felwar stone is a lot better. The key is to have enough creatures and/or card advantage. They do eventually run out of 1for1 removal. imo it's better to play last unless you have card advantage cards (brilliant plan, 2for1s, etc), especially if you're 3 colors.

My current ME3 sealed is garbage, but at least I can get some tickets for a Plateau, Volcanic Island, and foil Mana Drain

I'm pretty sure Lorwyn and Shadowmoor are both rotating out when Zendikar comes out.

Go to Community->Marketplace->Classifieds

You'll probably need to search for how much it is selling for to have an idea of the price.

Edit: I'm currently trying to sell a foil Mana Drain if any 2+2ers are interested.

yeah lorwyn, morningtide, shadowmoor and eventide are all gone on 10/2

in extended its onslaught/legions/scourge/8th that rotate

its a shame it looks like they might be force-feeding another linear tribal deck down our throats, but I guess I'm not convinced vampires will be good(hope they aren't)

As some who's been out of the game for a while, I'm kind of glad they are, at least for now, so I don't have to go build something crazy. But yea, I'm sure I'll get tired of it.

I think Vampires might end up being good though, they have a TON of good under 3cc Creatures and some good spells now too (Sign It In Blood, Doom Blade). I think Vampires with a splash of Red might be the most likely outcome, this way there is a way to deal with Stag and the other white hate coming. But Then again maybe not as that would really hurt Nocturnus' ability. I guess we shall see.

Why did Lowryn block have 4 sets? Looking back, as far as I can tell this is the only Time Wizards has done that (Outside of the Coldsnap release which was technically Ice Age block) and they don't seem to be be repeating this block either.

[fCARD_TYPE][@G] is what I use, and you can change the G to any other letter to make the text a different color. they had a page up on it somewhere but I don't recall the link.

been killing ME3 drafts and sealed

for the folks with foil duals and drains I would say, if you need tix, people are buying for around 90-100ish, but long term those are going to be worth more, so if you don't need the tix, I'd just hold them.

I'm pretty sure Lorwyn and Shadowmoor were two separate blocks each with only 2 sets. I'm not sure why they did it though I wasn't playing then.

How likely is it to get all these expensive rares in a ME3 booster?? Seems like all of you are opening like 5 every time you do sealed and each one is worth inf.

I'm a little torn on it, since I would like to avoid sinking too much cash into this.

If anyone is interested, I still have a foil Mana Drain for 100 tix or 30 ME3 packs.

***Mods, if I shouldn't be posting Marketplace-ish stuff like this please delete my post. Thanks.

Kind of surprised people are willing to pay that much for that considering how small the Vintage/Legacy/Classic scene is online.

How do you trade for more than 32 tickets? Outside of a bot I mean. Who "sends first"?

Variance. I've done 3 drafts and 3 sealeds and the only duals/Drains/Bazaars I've seen have been on the other side of the table.

Screw ME3 limited, I'm just going to pick up things while the market's flooded and go back to playing Classic.

you can also use [@xFF000000] where 000000 is an HTML color code and FF is the tint you want (FF for full tilt down to 00 for no color. you should always use FF pretty much)

There is also one for font family that i can't remember
