Really wish wizards would randomize their prints. At the release and pre-release events, seemed like everyone opened up Ajani + Garruk together if not Ajani for one guy and Garruk for the guy right next to him. Store owner passed out the packs direct from the box so there were no randomizing of packs.

Caspule. Kiss is a 5cc card while Capsule is a strong Esper signal.

Damn, this deck tested sick. Most games were over by turn 5. Fireblast provides a nice way to finish the game a turn early, really love it in this deck.

Fanatic still played well even with rule change. I'm open to suggestions, but otherwise I'll leave him in for now.

I think that is how I'd go, not sure I like splashing doomblade with 0 fixers but don't really like holy strength, or any of the other options in red and white

What about maindeck celestial purge? I know it was maindeckable easily in shards, and I think the consistency is worth it.

What about going green for the 2 giant growths with the GW dual? Seems like this deck is vulnerable to ground stalls, which that would help.

I mostly agree with bottomset. But I'd splash green instead. You get to have one dual land as a fixer this way. Plus 2 giant growth is awesome. Also 4/4 trample gives you one creature that can survive magma phoenix on its own. :P

from my experience with M10, I think purge is a sideboard card, most red/black creatures aren't that threatening, you get beat by the spells in those colors

deathmark and flashfreeze I like a lot more as maindeck cards

as for the ground stalls, you do have panic attack, act of treason and lava axe to help with those(and obviously the phoenixes) so I don't see it being too big a problem, bomb creatures seem like a much bigger problem and doom blade is a lot better at dealing with them than giant growth

Why not? There's nothing else bigger than 3/3 in the deck and you're playing 2 3R vanilla 3/3 creatures otherwise. It's not an early game play so there's more time to draw and play a source of green. For example, I wouldn't splash Centaur Coursers even though it's way better than Canyon Minotaur because on turn 3 you're less likely to have the source of green and you'd rather have plains/plains/mountain at that point anyway.

imo, if you're splashing green for giant growth anyway, why not improve the average quality of the creatures too if you can. But again, I wouldn't splash any small early game creatures like this.

I ended up going R/W straight, just because I feel uneasy splashing a third color without any fixing. If I opened up a B/R dual instead, I would definitely be playing Doom Blade.

I seriously considered blue though, since its overall solid (but lacking good creatures), and the theme of the deck would be "deck my opponent", which may not be great with all the bombs in this format.

Had no idea Strip Mines were banned in Legacy. Any other good disruption Lands I can use? Rishadan Port seems ok, but maybe too slow for this deck. Thoughts?
All I can think of is Wasteland off the top of my head.

Also, I don't know if I've said this before, but Mogg Fanatic is pretty subpar now. If you're running 8 of the sui elementals, one option is Flamekin Bladewhirl as a better Jackal Pup, and maybe Flamekin Harbinger to fetch Hellsparks and Ball Lightnings.

How would the Bladewhirl work? I wouldn't have many things I could show to make it cost only 1 Mana.

Wasteland is no good, no one I play with uses non Basic Lands. Rishadan Port, Mishras Factory and Blinkmoth Nexus seem like the best bets I've found and that I have.

For Mogg Fanatic, under new rules, Lets say I attack with him, my opponent announces a blocker, I now cannot Sacrifice him or can I? I know he wouldn't deal damage If I did, but can I even do it?

Yeah you could you just can't stack damage and then sacrifice, so under the new rules it just wouldn't deal combat damage.

i think couriers capsule is the way better card. it can really help you in the early game, plus the obvious synergies with other esper cards.

kiss costs like a million and the format is so fast.

I agree although I would be much more inclined to take the capsule with a gargoyle... I took kiss thinking that I may end up playing 5c

seems pretty detrimental to ship the capsule after essentially forcing esper -- something that I haven't been doing too much in the 8-4s (have been getting really strong jund and naya decks shipped to me)
