Every guild is viable and they are all pretty close. There's been this weird thing since Battle for Zendikar where people are hellbent on calling a color or combo unplayable. I guess it's because in that format green actually was unplayable and magic players, ever falling victim to hyperbole, just have to parrot what they heard pros say during that time period every set to try and sound smart.

Love how every streamer i watch has autotap enabled and it never costs them a game. I play like 2 games and lose to it. I've had it disabled since beta when it was TERRIBLE.

There's just no way Rakdos is better than Orzhov. Two of the three Rakdos gold commons are replacement level. Red's commons are not very good. There's four that are unplayable and only three or four that you actively want in your deck.

Whenever I know I want specific lands untapped, I hover over the spell/ability first to see what lands it will tap. If it is going to be tapping incorrectly, I'll tap manually.

Ive gotten so used to auto-tapping that I wont play gates because having to manually tap for guild summit even when I only have 3 lands out pisses me off too much

Everytime I play against someone who always manually taps I wonder if they enjoy self torture. It's annoying enough having to wait for the tapping, I can't imagine having to actually be doing it

Dagger Caster + Bladebrand = auto-win. Admittedly Orzhov is pretty good. Both guilds have access to the best creature in the format, Priest of the Forgotten Gods.

Huge eyeroll everytime I end up against someone playing Mono-Red / etc and are manually tapping their lands every turn.

Auto tapper is fine but you does occasionally need babysitting. I find it just becomes muscle memory to recognize situations it MIGHT f-up and hover over the cards first to check.

Priest is quite good, but it is nowhere near the best creature in the format. It is pretty bad whenever opponent has Afterlife cards. It is very good against the bad decks, though.

One big problem with Orhzav is that one of the best cards, Final Payment, is bugged. (The "sacrifice a creature" option usually doesn't work.) I've reported the bug to WoTC but I just played it and it's still bugged.

And yeah, got crushed by Radkos again playing Orhzav. The former is far better than the latter even without the bug.

I've never had a problem with final payment and have played it ~30 times in the last week or so

I think whats happening is you're clicking "sac a creature" and then clicking the creature you want to sacrifice, then it asks you to sacrifice a creature and you're confused. The first click needs to be the creature you wanna kill. So it should go Final Payment -> sac a creature or enchantment button -> opponents creature -> your creature to sacrifice -> ok/resolve/whatever it is.

That's what I thought, so when I tried to play it today, I clicked through the prompts slowly, just like you show above. It still didn't work. It may not happen every time, but there is a bug.

That sucks. I'll keep an eye out for anyone else having that issue and post here if I find a solution it.

So do people enjoy playing Nexus? Seems not very fun for either party

I'd imagine playing the deck is reasonably fun, at least for a while. I doubt anyone actually enjoys casting Nexus for 10 times, but making it to the point where you turn the game around is always satisfying.

Hate to bring it up again ut MTGA needs to push toward drafting against humans or have a gamemod for human drafting. ridiculous what you can JAM whetever you want on 85% of your drafts lol

make ranked against humans at least

Waiting for humans in a draft kinda sucks.

I remain completely unconvinced that making the bots decent is a difficult problem. WoTC is in a tech hub trying to attract talent with McDonalds money though so don't hold your breathe.
