Deathmist got killed by Declaration in Stone, the 3/3 deathtouch side isn't constructed playable and it rarely is more than that now.

Turn 5 win in limited seems pretty good?

I got turn 4ed twice in sealed already. Pretty sure I've seen a ton of turn 5 kills as well. Black red can have some crazy draws. None of them involved trisk admittedly.

If they don't have a turn 2 play Hinterland Logger crushes by turn 4 easily. This set is fast (like most sets...)

the RG, BR, GW human decks are all fast the rest of the format is very durdly, the delirium, UG and UR spells decks are solid decks.

the format is quite good, lot of archetypes in very different styles.

I actually think the most consistent decks in the format are the slower decks, but the important thing is that you do need to have something to do on the early turns. The last deck I drafted was WG delirium but I had something like 12 1 and 2 drops (including 9 creatures with a combined printed power of 8). The deck had close matches against UR spells and RG and then crushed RB easily in the final.

The highest power level decks are probably the more aggressive decks but the variance with them is much higher, both in drafting them and in the way the games play out. You can have a RB deck that looks incredibly powerful on paper but if you draw cards in the wrong order it can look anaemic.

Are all of the Time Spiral cards worthless on MTGO?

downloaded this last night

played the free trial and the client crashed twice

signed up anyway like a fish, took 4 attempts because their ****ty aspx wouldnt actually let me click the "submit" button on my info form

that finally works after a couple refreshes, paypal my $10 and they somehow imported my address wrong

never sent me an activation code email and there is no link to have one resent. the page says to "contact support" which links me to their physical mailing address

hunt around for a customer service email to get my code, have not heard back since last night

Ancestral Vision isn't. Rest is. Same with Planar Chaos and Damnation. Most money is in Future Sight.

Best bots to use are mtgotraders, goatbots, clanteam and the mtgolibrary that is combination of ton of bots but they all run on same software and have prices at one place.

dk - That experience is pretty standard. The client has had problems for a very long time.

https://www.mtgowikiprice.com/ lists prices for lots of bots. Some of the better chains, like Cardhoarder and MTGOTraders, aren't on there, so if you care a lot about getting the best price you don't want to rely solely on that site.

I just went cardhoarder for my first buy. Not sure my overall gameplan but will do these new player phantom sealeds first. I guess I need to buy some tickets to start playing things then hope to win enough to keep going

They are fine. The prices are 100% identical to mtgotraders and marlonmtg, they are basically the largest "chain" together.

Im going to miss crushing noobs with my new player points. did make the mistake of thinking there would be a card worth more than 2 cents in any of those 5 card boosters

whats the competition level in the standard leagues?

High-ish. You will mainly play against tournament decks and featured budget decks.

Basically it goes like this:

New player q < 2p queue < friendly std lg < comp std lg < ptq

Cry I think.

You don't have enough enablers for Thing, Welcome to the fold so blue is probably out

I think GRw would be where I started. I think you only splash moonsliver, silverstrike could come in certain matchups.

Four of first five games opponents have had Duskwatch Recruiter Turn 2.

There might be barely enough instants/sorceries to go RU spells with Thing and Rise, but other than welcome to the fold, the quality of them is just not good enough.
