Usually takes ~24 hrs for downloads to be up. Probably will go up Monday at midnight (EST) when they update the website.

lol I love the use of Brah, kyle' actually pretty good at legacy from what I've read of his writings on other sites.

Although I don't get how he can not like new horizons, that deck is awesome.

Regarding th ub matchup, idk, I play alot of ub online and the only match I dread is vamps. I have consume, disfigure, inquisition>duress, grave titan, consuming vapours maindeck and lots of hate in sb yet its still my worst matchup

That deck is garbage. It was sweet for like a month when everyone was playing combo. And I ran hot with Stifle + Wasteland + Played some morons in the top eight.

yeah its not a favorable 3 game match up. but best out of 5 pushes it in Ub favor i believe.

Over the holiday season I'd like to play some small stake standard matchs just to make it more fun. PM if interested ($20-$50 stakes may increase if you get me tilted)

Deck I've been thinking about, using one spoiled card from Besieged.

The Team:

4 Student of Warfare
4 White Knight
4 Knight Exemplar
4 Mirran Crusader
4 Kemba's Skyguard

I think there's room for like 4 more creatures, but I'm not really enamored with any of the options. Caravan Escort as a 1 drop that can level later in the game is tempting, as is Knight of Cliffhaven being able to level into a giant indestructible Serra Angel. I think both are very good against control, which is key in this type of matchup. If EVERY one and two drop is a must counter/must kill, that's a very good thing for you.

The Backup:

4 Journey to Nowhere
4 Honor of the Pure
3 Mimic Vat

There's space here for maybe 3-5 cards. The good magic player in me wants to run like 4 Revoke Existence and then put Liquidmetal Coating in the SB as direct planeswalker hate. I don't know if that will work, but I think Revoke is good enough to play main with all the ridiculous Enchantment/Artifacts around. Gotta kill Journey. Gotta kill Vats and Wurmcoils.

Anyway what you think?

Obviously this deck needs 2 Sun Titan.

Edit: Basilisk Collar looks good too with all the first strikers.

steppe lynx
stoneforge mystic
adventuring gear

all seem essential to white weenie, you really want to run 8 fetches and once you have them the lynx becomes a monster

I don't think there is enough incentive to play knight tribal

If you're trying to build a serious deck, I wouldn't worry about it much till the next set is actually fully spoiled/here. I have a feeling the meta is going to change significantly with the next set.

Why so much love for PV? from what I've seen on youtube he played a vampire deck really badly and made some serious play mistakes in SoM drafts, didn't look worthy of winning worlds.

^^^
PV just seems really classy to me, I trolled pretty hard after he complained about standard varience in one of his articles and he gave me a long resonable response (basically saying he'll work on it)

Tom: mimic vat is a control card that doesn't help your clock, its like playing day of judgement in that deck

Obligatory cool story bro: PV drafted one of the worst Grixis decks I've ever seen when I moneydrafted against him and pass-cut him pretty hard at GP: Seattle.

That being said, he plays loose on MODO in his videos. He barely plays online and I think that contributes to his bad play there. But having played against him and seen him play, I can unequivocally say that he is one of the best players on the PT. He is incredibly smart.

Whatever my opinion is worth, which to some in this thread is nothing.

I'd battle you, but I'm MODO broke. Too bad we don't live close to each other. That would be a lot of fun.

What is the cheapest good standard deck to build? Landfall? Vampires? Does anyone want to sell me a whole or most of a standard deck cheaper than it would be to build it from a bot?

Can pay in tickets or FTP.

ftp/stars would be fine, then once you pwn me (I'm a mtg fish compared to you) you won't be modo broke anymore
