Yeah you're probably right, although he probably won't go down too much. He's currently a 3-of in the top dog in standard, but ROE is gonna be opened a lot more that WWK was, so Gideon can never reach Jace levels.

edit: haha, people are trying to sell Gideon for nearly 60. Good luck with that :/

Your best bet would be to play pauper, a commons only format. Standard is absurdly expensive to be competitive in.

pogo your 3color build seems powerful but awkward. I really want to find a way to play blue for 2x drake umbra. Did you have an uncharted wilds?

Normally i just lurk on 2+2, but when i stumbled upon this thread it a couple of days ago it made me want to play some magic again. So i guess i can thank you guys for that.

So i started off with Dire's cheap white deck, that was posted somewhere in this thread, which i got for 2-3 tickets. Thanks to Dire for that pretty cool and cheap deck to start with. After that i made a budget creatureless Valakut deck for around 2-3 tickets which performs pretty nice aswell. And i'm still looking for some ideas for a cheap extended deck for the moment as that used to be my favorite format together with type 1.5 back in the days, but guess that's way more expensive now.

Anyway after reading some articles i tried a RoE sealed draft too and i went 3-1 with a 3 color deck. I had 2 Evolving wilds so i thought i could give it a go and never had any problems with mana it seemed. Just lost the second match 2-0 with the first game being very close and only losing it because of a couple of mistakes. The second game i didn't draw any removal for Pestilence Demon which killed me bad.

Here's my deck i played with. Fire away if you want. I never did alot of drafting and it's been a long time since i played. I know Kozilek was a pretty bad choice as i never got close to casting him.

By the way what's the best way to sell those cards on modo to get some tickets back? Seach for human players or look for a bot that will buy them?

Lol, sorry but i just have to post this. Just started my 2nd draft and i got a pretty nice u/w control deck and in both my games i had pretty nice board control with Lighthouse Chronologist going after his turn. Both times he casts All is Dust and wins the first and is about to win the 2nd, but he disconnects the turn he's gonna win the match and doesn't come back and i win. How lucky is that?

Aargh i just went 2-2 because of my own stupid mistakes. Should have atleast gone 3-1 there. I won the first on a fluke, because the guy disconnected. But to be fair All is Dust saved his ass in both games.

Then the second match i'm 1-0 in front with basicly a lock on the match. I got Lighthouse Chronologist (love that card) going and a Dawnglare Invoker with 9 lands in play. He has more creatures, but no cards in his hand and we're both low. Then i click to fast to continue and he can attack and kill me before because i could't tap all his creatures. Third game i decided not to mulligan and get stuck on 3 islands and no plains and lose fast.

Then the third game i won the first fast and i'm losing the second in slow long fight. When i miss my outs i want to concede the game, but instead in concede the match when it was going to be 1-1. GG me and i'm on life tilt. The last match was an easy 2-0 win.

I love this set U/W is quite cool and i like the levelers alot. I feel i could have gone 4-0 maybe if i didn't play like a so horrible, but yeah you never know what opponent you would have faced then offcourse. Here's my deck for those who are interested.

Sorry for all my ramblings here i don't have anywhere else to post about magic. :P

I'm 2-0 in my first of the day, with an interesting w/u deck full of levelers (including lighthouse turn taker guy), 2x guard duty and 2x narcolepsy and 3 umbras. Not sure ive played blue in any of my last 5-6 of these, first expierience with it has been pretty positive. Ill start posting my pools cause id love u guys advice, but didnt think about it this time.

what site r u using to upload the pictures of ur pools, i always use imageshack and they end up so small

Really proud of myself lol. Played against an eldrazi deck. lost g1 to multi-casts of the 11 mana guy who blows something up and has annihiliator 4. Won g2, and then sided to black entirely for shrivel (his average tokens per game was roughly 10). Shrivel wins g3 to put me in the finals. Whee

In every single format that ImsaKidd and I have discussed, he has said he wants at least 19-20 land in his deck. Every single one.

tinypic works good

I just got kicked out of my last event of the day due to a bug where my opponent was timing down on my screen down but he kept telling me that I was the one timing down. I felt like I was going to get a bye and then boom gg inactivity removal.

I said 18 min, and I said 19 before I had even played the set.

I've run 19 in a draft deck once.

maza: that looks like a sick ****ing draft deck, jesus.

ive been running 18 throughout in all of ZZW and ROE and ive rarely had much of a problem.

Also took down that sealed i was talking about. beat dragonlord and that blue version of dragonlord in finals.

I can't be the only one that would be super tempted to run distortion strike and the spellblade, living that dream would be amazing

ouch. always relogg in these situations. Takes 30 seconds off your clock but can save you from this not uncommon scenerio.

Almost had a moment of insane monkey tilt. In the finals of a ROE pre-release I used momentus fall after my opponent tapped out such that I would survive his attack and be able to swing for the win. MTGO bugged on me and I neither gained life nor drew any cards. Luckily I managed to win games 2 and 3, because that would have been the most tilting way to go out ever.

I like the mythic conscription deck a fair bit, attacking with a 12power birds of paradise is pretty lol

but will probably play the UWr planeswalker deck as it seems to be the best deck

Some sort of Turbo Vaults/UW tapout hybrid IMO.

Kinda pissed that article went up on starcity - did some testing over the weekend with friends and we were all like "wow vaults crushes right now". Le sigh.

Not sure about the build that includes Blue, though 2xHartebeest with the options of Guard Duty/Narcolepsy/Domestication is pretty exciting.
Yea I saw this too and was like - do people not realize how broken hartebeest is??
