Looks like the new GRN draft bots are underdrafting Boros. Just went 7-1 with a 15 land Boros deck with a very low curve and I think only two of my opponents weren't playing Boros.

WoTC has no idea what they're doing with these bots

btw for new players, you should work towards crafting either mono-blue or mono-red, both are pretty cheap (especially blue) and most important fast t1/t2 decks that will let you grind out f2p rewards.

Here's a good guide for turning some of the NPE/pre-constructed decks and cards you get early on for free into a budget mono blue:

Here's a good guide on spikes on how to play mono-blue:

One draft is hardly a sample size.

Maybe you just forced an open guild?

did my first comp event instead of just random ladder. easy 5-0, three games against mono blue, one deck that looked pre-con, and a good blue black mirror. guess this is better for gold. the client has worked pretty much flawlessly for me, my only nit-picky complaint is that moving cards in and out of the sideboard during deck construction is pretty awkward.

its a shame that acquiring cards is so terrible. 95% of your "rewards" are unplayable and the vault has got to be a joke

I had one wierd bug with the client. I could not target player with a spell it kept glitching to the middle of board.

I could only target a minion which was annoying since I had leathel. ended up not nattering as game was already won.

anyone else had this issue?

I've had a few weird bugs too. I think once I was totally unable to choose mulligan or keep and eventually I timed out and lost. Was a casual queue so no worries.

I'd probably take the deadly visit in that one, but I am not an expert draftsman.

On MTGO I'd take visit, but on Arena I'd take current. Boros is just too easy to force on Arena and I think it's by far the best, especially in the no sideboard drafts.

I have not had too much success with Boros, BUT Im insanely biased, I think Boros is very boring, also I may value some Boros cards too high/low aka Im doing it wrong.

Also part of it is the player skill level on MTGA is not too high, so I prefer access to more instants than Boros usually has.

I'm half certain I saw SOMEWHERE on the internet that MTGA would get 8 man draft like MTGO at some point.

Anyone know when this some point is?

I'm with you on the boring part, I almost always go another way on MTGO.

On MTGA it's the instants in boros that have actually been so effective for me due to the lower skill level. I feel like I play with sure strike face up and still get routine 2-1's. People love to make unnecessary blocks on arena.

MTGA tutorial should be enough to learn the basics, right?
