Quick Constructed is supposed to be the rewards system past daily rewards.

Client seems pretty intuitive to me. Aside from it having no idea how to tap lands I haven't seen any major issues.

The real problem is their approach still seems to be that the product has to be really expensive because paper magic is really expensive. Which won't grow their brand online.

If anything I would have expected them to value accessibility more than a game like hearthstone because they will see a benefit a standalone game won't. Instead they just want your money.

its only like once in ten games I have to manually tap lands

the biggest long term problem by far is that the economy is terrible for casual players and this is supposed to be the online go-to for casual players. its great if you want to build a tier one deck for cheap and grind, but its impossible to try out decks built around bulk mythics or switch around much with the wildcard system

You must not be playing many non-basics. The system leaves non-basics untapped not matter what. I have to manually tap with Legion's Landing/Iffnir deadlands/Sheffet Dunes several times every game they are on board.

that makes sense. I run duals but only one arch as a land that can tap for (1)

Doom Whisperer is totally broken.

Doom Whisperer + Dimir Spybug is pretty much Felidar Guardian + Saheeli Rai. You need the card that drains 3 when you surveil.

Meant to post originally. Use the code "PlayRavnica" (case-sensitive and without the quotes) for 3 free packs.

got 12K gems to dive in with over the weekend

did they ever update how the vault works? i remember the value of a 5th copy being pathetically low. the wildcard progress per pack is kinda nice

This is the deck I've been running. I probably pilot it pretty poorly but not 100% sure where to go from here other than fixing the manabase some. I didn't realize it until reading one of the tool tips, but the 1 game constructed queues actually give you the 'most balanced combination of lands and spells of either of two different hands' as your first 7 card hand. I guess this means I need some more lands if I want to play best of 3's, but doesn't really seem relevant that much in Arena?

Thoughts suggestions welcome. A 3rd Vraska and the shocklands are obviously good starts. I will snap put in another Plaguecrafter when I get another uncommon wildcard. Plaguecrafter is super busted and you should get a play set of these asap. I should probably have 1 field of ruin and 1 Arch of Orazca but the mana is so janky with the guildgates I'm using for now.

Necrotic Wound would probably be pretty nice too. I love Journey to Eternity, but drawing 2 is almost always a disaster. Jadelight is occasionally amazing but has been one of the weaker cards in my experience. Charnal Troll is so meh in this deck with 4 stitchers suppliers and 3 gravespores, I think the troll is pretty overrated.

Dusk Legion has been pretty busty for me but I can see cutting 1 or 2 of these with specific configurations. I'm not cutting a chupacrbra, the journey ravenous lock is too valuable in most matchups. I tried 3 chupacrbra a few times and hated every topdeck when I didn't have 1 in play.

I think maybe going Mausoleum Secrets toolbox could be pretty solid with this deck. I think putting another gravespore in and like Crucible of Worlds would be pretty amazing with a toolbox strat. Really this deck has a lot of resiliency and 2 for 1s so control is not the matchup it struggles with. I'd like to find space for like reassembling skeleton but I just can't find it.

Certainly cutting blue entirely sounds reasonable. Traveler's amulet is nice with muldrotha but its pretty much win more, granted if I cut both I will need to put another land in so cutting the last two doesn't really free up any spots. Search for Azcanta is kinda meh with the number of non-creatures I have and activating it rarely feels good. If I keep blue, not sure if a 2nd Muldrotha would be worth or not. Gift of paradise looks weird but is very needed for the aggro matchup in my opinion. If muldrotha goes then gift should too, but the deck will need some kind of antiaggro replacement.

I cracked 1 and honestly generally chupacbra and plaguecrafter seem generally better in the current incarnation. I wouldn't mind it if I had 4 and keep the search for Azcanta. Probably like cut the amulets, the troll and jadelights for the 4th plaguecrafter set of 4 trophy. Assassin trophy is really nice in matchup against control because it allows an efficient way to deal with however they plan to lockdown the game. Obv its great against most aggro matches too because we could care less if they get another land most of the time.

Ya you are probably right.

Super fun mono blue (with splashes) draft deck. Well fun for me. I assume it's hell to play against.

I used to love drafting and I've never found any coreset interesting to draft. Forcing G/b or G/r always seemed like the way to go.

If I could prepick open colors I think it would be something like U>B>W>G>R

I don't like forcing green, I will play green if it is super open, but I prefer U, B or W first pick too G

New player. No cards. I currently own American Currency and I would like to turn some of it into packs.

Which packs should I be buying? How do sets rotate out? Should I just be buying Guilds of Rav? Obv if I have a deck in mind it could influence the decision, but I don't, so what should I be doing here?

Thanks for any advice. I realize I can search the interwebs but I trust you guys.
