Heard it had some issues.

Hello, Steam is one of the best gaming platforms worldwide. Even initially, it wasn't popular among gamers; as time passed and the internet became more accessible, more and more people started to buy games on Steam. I am glad you remembered half-life and CS. These are my favorite games. I still play Counter-Strike Global Offensive sometimes. I am not a professional player, but I enjoy playing it.

Anyone playing Mon Bazou?

I'm curious because it reminds me strongly of My Summer Car. And I love that game. However, it's another one of those early access games. It came out late last year.

Ukraine bundle again: Minit is a Zelda type game (8 bit?) where you get sent back to 'start' after a minute of real time game play. Very creative. Loved it loved it loved it. 9.5/10.

After nostalgia running through Deus Ex: Human Revolution a few times, I'm finally playing Mankind Divided for the first time. God damn, this game is incredible. Really wish Square Enix didn't kill the series.

Yeah I love those games, some of my all time favorites. Both have great soundtracks as well. Icarus from DE:HR is one of my favorite pieces of video game music, can't listen to it without wanting to start a playthrough:

Still watch the trailer ever so often too:

Original game is in my top 3 gaming experiences. I remember skiving off school to play it all day, and listen to The Marshall Mathers LP.

Great point, Daer. The music is incredible. Sometimes, I just sit on Human Revolution's main menu and listen.

It's easy to feel obligated with so many personal reviews abound, but you shouldn't grind through a game that you aren't enjoying.
Update: I'm deeming Factorio "complete" at this point.

I ended up going back in and, 100+ hours later, completed a 3000 science/min megabase based on my own 150x150 tile modular block design. The jump from 2000 to 3000 SPM resulted in significant FPS/UPS drops even with my rather beefy rig, so I'm calling it there. With the system I have set up, it would just be a matter of copy/pasting my way to infinity science/min, but there's no real point and the game engine would implode long before then.

I can see now how some people sink many thousands of hours into this. Particularly with some of the mods I've seen mentioned. My assumption is that the people with 10,000+ SPM bases in vanilla are just much much better than I was at optimization. My run was mostly modless except for the aircraft mod, which I would never play without after experiencing it, and some tiny QOL ones like sneakthrough and free red/green wires via an interface button.

Call me a Factorio convert now. I'll use what I've learned to give it another playthrough when the expansion releases.

Warhammer Chaos Gate Daemonhunters - I’m in the very early stages. It’s like XCOM with more complex combat and less complex base building (none of that faffing over where to place underground installations). That’s perfect for me because I found the base building in XCOM very tedious, YMMV. The Grey Knights are a lot more robust than the XCOM squaddies and have more interesting abilities.

The Warhammer lore references are going over my head but don’t interfere too much. I did look some of it up and that’s five minutes of my life I’m not getting back.

I just bought a wheel to play with my older son (almost 7 yo) but having hard time to find suitable games. ETS2 is fairly hard and not easy to set up (although I think I managed for now with the exception of some fuctions that I don't have bound yet) and I bought Assetto Corsa because it was cheap but it's naturally out of question because it's a sim. I bought Horizon Chase Turbo https://store.steampowered.com/app/3...n_Chase_Turbo/ which seems great at first glance (btw it's for €1 on Fanatical atm) - are there any other racing games with wheel support that my kid would handle? He's not a gamer by any means, we've been playing through Lego Ninjago as his first game for a few weeks now on and off. He's learned gamepad pretty quick though.
