I picked up "Inscryption" in the most recent Steam sale without knowing much about it. I am absolutely floored by the game. This may very well be the Slay the Spire killer we have all been waiting for.

2 games on my wishlist are on sale: Sable and Twelve Minutes. I know Twelve Minutes was mentioned earlier itt, anyone have any opinions on them? They don't seem at all like my typical genres but appear to be executed really well.

Jedi Fallen Order imo: plot and combat are passable, pretty terrible boss fights (with few notable exceptions), climbing sections are boring at first, but get more fun as you gain more abilities, puzzles I found rather annoying. The only thing that really stands out is exploration/level design. In other words, if you enjoy metroidvania-style exploration, you should enjoy it, as an action game not so much.

12 minutes is interesting in the sense I've never played anything like it. Didn't finish it, but might have to pick it up again.

Fallen Order is for people that enjoy Souls games, but suck at them.

So I loved it.

Quite enjoying Chorus, although still in the early stages. I’m a sucker for space combat games. The ability to teleport behind the enemy is so cool but feels overpowered.

Epic Store is giving away a game a day for 15 days starting on Thursday. The first game is supposedly Shenmue 3.

Today's Epic Store free game is Remnant: From the Ashes, in case you missed it when it was a free a couple years ago. One of the few Epic freebies that I've actually played through.

Remnant is a great co-op game.

fwiw, I just learned that you can combine the epic 10$ coupon with their current sale and the minimum price only applies to base, which means that you can get many things extremely cheap, I just got Mortal Shell for around 6$

Enjoying the bumps so I remember my free epic games I've almost never played.

Thinking back, the only game that I actually played on Epic was Axiom Verge, the very first free game on epic.

Axiom.Verge 2 came out not too long ago. Anybody give it a go?

I was interested in this one too, but after trying it for a few hours, I just don't get it. It seems to be an idle game that you have to babysit non-stop. Maybe I'm missing something though.

I'm not a shill but Epic's holiday coupon is the most generous offer I've ever seen. I've never come across a store offering a reusable £10 discount off every eligible game, of which there seem to be plenty. Guess they're reaching into their deep Fortnite pockets to get a leg up over Steam, even if cutting into immediate profit or even taking a loss. Interesting that Steam has not yet tried to match this offer in any way.

Why would they? Epic is nowhere near being an actual competitor to Steam.

EGSs "business-model" is completely moronic and they're shooting themselves in the foot with no need for any competitor to do anything.

They're building a user base of people who only use them because they expect free games or because they're forced to if they want the exclusives.

They're losing a ton of money on both free games and paying for exclusives - they're banking on Fortnite to carry them through 10+ years and somehow magically make EGS profitable in that time.

I agree. I spend the most time on EGS because I get all their freebies but It has never crossed my mind to get a game there. I have enough backlog and not enough time that I’m not exactly a game consumer at this stage of my life but if I was I could see myself getting a big AAA title there with the coupon but that would be about it. Unless they are cheaper I would lean Steam due to familiarity and ease of use
