I get sad when someone doesn't like Celeste. I mean I get why, but that genre of video game hardly exists and is amazing.

Celeste could be my favourite game ever. I kept pushing myself further and further, eventually got it all except for golden strawberries. Magical game, exceptional everything.

personally I love Celeste as a work of art and I think it's one of the best game ever made, I just don't really enjoy playing it - while I do like hard games, precision platformers are just not for me. I haven't finished the game (think I'm about 2/3 or 3/4 through) and I didn't even get stuck or anything, just couldn't be bothered to play anymore

I grew up with a kid named Ben Williams. He was in a wheel chair but I never thought to ask why. It was just who he was. He died a few years ago due to the same illness that put him in a wheelchair. It makes you think.

To return to game related news (and also to further pad my post count), Forza Horizon 5 launched today/yesterday (depending on your timezone and where you bought it and how much you were willing to pay) and it's awesome.

The voice of the female protagonist is so familiar and it's really annoying that I can't place it. I'm not sure, but I do feel like it's one of the voices from Huniepop 2 - if so, it's clearly a great scoop for FH to bag a star from such a major gaming franchise.

Yeah FH5 is great. I'm not even a big racing game fan but I tried FH4 a while ago on gamepass and had a blast and so far FH5 is just as good.

Yes, not too big on racing games in general either, but the FH series is great and just the right mix of arcade and sort-of-simulation.

I bought FH3 on a sale way back and also played FH4 through game pass - got in quite late and cheaply on both of them, so figured I could justify splashing out for the premium edition this time around.

Struggling with what to spend the free car pass on though - initially sorted the cars by value and thought I'd go for one of the most expensive, but nothing there really stood out to me and using it on a "cheap" car seems like a bit of a waste.

Probably just hang on to it for a while - not like there's a lack of cars being thrown at you.

Yeah I'm holding on to mine too. I believe the most expensive car (30mil one) is also given out as an accolade award for completing a bunch of events. The next most expensive one at 22mil might be the right choice but I'll just wait a bit and let other people figure out what it is optimal to use on.

I'm playing a game called Vagrus - The Riven Realms. You play as a Vagrus, the leader of a caravan, who travels the wasteland of a post-cataclysmic Roman-themed (it's a lot like Total War) fantasy world. The combat is pretty awful imo, but the writing, world building and caravan management are fantastic. $30 seems really steep considering there's still some bugs and unfinished stuff, but overall I'm enjoying it a lot.
