Just stopping in to say Hades is great on xbox. I have it on PC too but never got passed Meg. Played for like an hour on xbox and beat meg already, I'm finding it to be a better experience than PC but not sure why. Highly recommend.

on the subject of hades weapons

spear, shield and glove are great

bow is selectively sometimes great

sword mostly blows and gun really blows

Speedrunners use the gun, aspect of Eris specifically.

The Achilles spear aspect as good, the rest kinda suck.

Interesting. I don't speedrun obv. The aspects can definitely change some, i forget what they all do but some clearly way better.

Just did a run with the final shield aspect (beowolf) and seemed fairly useless to bad.

This was my first time playing in like eight months.

Beowulf can be very powerful with Dio cast if you use Stygian Soul and are lucky enough to get extra cast boons. If you don't get those extra casts it's not so great.

Spear with Achilles aspect can lead to the near-broken Hunting Blades build. It fits my personal definition of overpowered - low risk, low effort, big reward. Get Mirage Shot and extra casts and you're laughing.

One of many cool things about this game is how different everyone seems to rank the weapons/aspects.

I've got bow as the best by a solid margin, followed by gun and shield. Fists/spear are alright to meh in general, and sword is garbage imo.

Some of the aspects don't really shine until you level them up a bunch, so spend that Titan's Blood wisely.

Yeah I sorta quit halfway through the aspects because it was too easy /story was over. So my rankings are before that.

Bow is nice and has some great hammer upgrades but hurts my thumb the most.

Interesting to hear you guys say the sword sucks as that's the weapon I've managed to get the furthest with.

I also really like the bow.

Haven't given the shield or spear much of a chance.

Finally got to Hades for the 1st time last night just spamming dash attack with the sword. He kicked my ass, but I finally got there.

Shield seems to suck until you realise how incredibly effective its block is. You can block everything except explosives.

Its got great potential but is not done yet, suffers from the worst end game snowballing I have seen in 4X.

If you like CRPG games dont sleep on the Pathfinder Kingmaker games.

I picked up the first game for £5 and I got over 100 hundred hours out of it and have to say I prefer it over both PoE and DOS2.

The game at launch was meant to be rough, but its been optimised since, I have not had a single problem with it.

Character creation is really in depth and diverse, levelling up has really satisfying power creep and multi class really allows for creative and interesting builds.

The combat can be turned based or RTwP and the mechanics I again prefer over the two other titles mentioned above, the battles are actually tactical unlike PoE and each ability you use feels like a tense choice, timing debuffs and buffs etc, if you do one thing there is an opportunity cost to what you are not doing. There is none of the spamming of abilities as their was in PoE, and none of the oh will just put this explosive barrel here as there was in DOS1/2.

Your characters do have a wide range of options but its just tight enough to not feel spammy. Some of the battles have an epic feel to them and the difficulty is tough on standard, I have fought several battles several times and when you work out how to win them its got that nice Dark Souls satisfying fist pump moment.

Loot and magic items are also unique enough to feel perpetually fresh.

Solid game imo and if you are a CRPG fan, play these games imo.

Been meaning to give it another go for a while now. I love crpgs and played it when it first came out but was put off by it's many 'issues'.

Hopefully can keep me from being tempted to play Baldur's Gate 3 in it's current state.

Cool, didn't realise Wrath was a new game. Reviews sound like it still has some stuff to iron out too.

I enjoyed the first KM enough to play it again on a higher difficulty.

There is so much flexibility in character builds that its just fun to theory craft your character and try **** out.

I struggled with the daily spells system and the amount of fights. Seemed like they just dumped a tabletop system into a video game format without tweaking it. That was right after release though, maybe it's been improved.

Dont most crpgs have a cant just spam the same spell all day system?

Really enjoying Honey, I Joined A Cult. It's a game in the prison architect/Rimworld model that lets you build a religious cult.

It's an Early Access game but just based on the research tree there will be enough to keep me going for awhile.
