I always have trouble buying new games (just purely psychological reasons) and I determined 3 titles with highest prio on my radar: Hades, Noita and Baba is You. After Dead Cells disappointment I'm worried I'll get burned again and I'm afraid to buy them. Hades is on sale at the moment, that's the only thing that would lead me to it first.

I could also go another route and use my Xbox Game Pass trial to play Crosscode, both Oris, Children of Morta hmm

Now you're just teasing.

In all honesty

Crosscode>Hades>Ori 2>Baba>Ori 1>Noita>Children

Hades might be = Crosscode if Hades is on sale and Crosscode isnt. But if you really have Gamepass, Crosscode 1 is a no brainer

I played ori 2 before ori 1 and doubt I'll ever finish ori 1.not that it's bad.

Just started Game Pass. Now I remember why I avoid games and stuff from big companies. The installer says 'We're doing something amazing!' and has been stuck on 2/3 for 5 minutes now...

I mean, that's Microsoft for you.

That being said, Gamepass is an undeniable good in the industry so long as they dont jack the price much higher.

What's the weird scam to get 1 dollar game pass for like two years? Is that a thing and people here still know about it?

Its possible they fixed that one. The most recent one I heard was buying either one or two years of EA pass and then buying the Game Pass and it converts to like, 6 months for 24.99 or something like that.

Is tabletop simulator that tough to use? I've got some friends getting together next weekend and I want to do some gambling type thing and the roulette wheel seems like it'd be pretty for what I'm wanting. What's the learning curve like?

Never used roulette wheel. Learning curve is you should do the tutorial but not bad. If they just have to place chips it's really easy.

Yeh not played much but I'd think roulette would be easy. Controls aren't too tricky, you just need to get your head round moving stuff around yourself - it's not all automated like online casinos.

By playing CrossCode I thought I'm in for some cool action + puzzle thing. I didn't expect and epic journey with a vast world full of cool things to do and explore. There are so many things that I excite me! I think I want this game on steam, maybe I should use my gamepass to simply give a few games a shot and buy the rest of the games.

Sorry for spam lately, but I just had another thought. I'm currently very slowly playing through Chrono Trigger for the first time, will I be able to enjoy it after CrossCode? Feels like step backwards when it comes to gameplay. Mind you I'm after like 3rd boss in CT, so quite close to beginning.

I'd say Chrono Trigger is much better than CrossCode, but that's me.

Im sure you are aware but Chrono Trigger is very often in the conversation of best game ever. Obviously some of that has to do with how ahead of its time it was when it came out, but I played it on the Virtual Console on the Wii and enjoyed it greatly.

Chrono Trigger is my favorite RPG game ever made. I just bought it on steam as well. I used to play through it on emulator every couple years.

Just started Hades and it seems really good. I played ~10-15 hours of Noita in early access(not sure what’s been added to final game). If you have an interest in rogue-likes and don’t get at least $20 of entertainment value from that game I’d be surprised. Maybe someone who’s played it more could give a more informed criticism of it. I basically put it down bc the game wasn’t complete and planned to come back to it.

Currently totally hooked on Last Epoch. Must of backed it years ago, and finally installed it a couple of weeks ago. Still in beta, and can be infuriating buggy (e.g. mine will always crash if I try to do certain areas of the game with Youtube running), but still great fun.

If/when they can smooth everything out, it's definitely going to be challenging PoE/Grim Dawn/Diablo for the ARPG crown. I really can't see it happening, but just pray it doesn't go the way of Wolcen, which I also backed early and was promising, but is a complete shi-show.
