I'm so confused. So it's Zachtronics...and there's (maybe) programming (is this screenshot part of the game or just flavor? Seems like it references TIS-100?)...but...it's also a war game?

Cyberpunk delayed again, to December 10th (was November 19th I think).

By the time it actually comes out it will be an alternate history instead of a dystopian future.

I'm gonna be pissed if I die before its released.

Seriously considering playing Cyberpunk on Stadia to dodge install times + performance requirements.

not sure if you guys are aware, but there is a political revolution happening right now in Poland, as well as a massive covid outbreak, so I wouldn't be suprised if Cyberpunk was delayed even more

No idea what performance they are targeting but the released specs aren't that bad.

Watchdogs Legions not on steam??? Anyone play this yet? The concept is pretty amazing, I really hope they were able to pull it off even somewhat.

My strategy of delaying my next build until it came out is paying off!!

(so maybe it was more of just procrastinating, but 'laziness pays off' hits too close to home)

I built myself an absolute beast, but all I ever play are old games.

Iconoclasts is -70% on steam right now, I had it on my wishlist for a while and decided to buy it. It's a mix between metroidvania and puzzle-platformer, supposedly a hidden gem.

It's on 'Ubisoft connect' (which used to be UPlay) which you'd probably have to use even if it was on Steam. I got it with my new GPU and I'm loving it - I enjoyed the first two too, but this one is really amazing. Pretty sure it's going to be GOTY for me.

Played it for about 10h so far and I've hardly progressed at all in the main story because there is a ton of random fun stuff to do. Recruiting folks and breaking into stuff using the spider-bot is addictive.

It looks amazing too - I love just walking around London and 'inspecting' people while taking in the views.

How you act has an impact throughout the game too - you'll come across people who are friends of people you saved or helped earlier and they'll be friendly because of it. Or they'll hate you because you randomly ran over one of their friends/relatives while driving along to some mission.

The only issue I've had so far is that the voice acting is not very fitting or appropriate for a lot of the characters. I've let a few recruits go just because they sounded terrible, but that's not really an issue - there are millions more to recruit to take their place

Also, you're basically playing as the organization Dedsec and not an individual so it's somewhat harder to identify with the character/storyline, but that's not really what the game is about. Finding people you enjoy playing is part of the fun.

What's new/different in the new Watch Dogs? I recall the first one being interesting and fun but ultimately not memorable.

Gameplay-wise it plays pretty similar to the first two - it just feels more refined and smooth. I liked both the first games, though I bounced off the first one twice before it finally clicked on my third try.

The major difference is the new gimmick where you can recruit and play as any npc in the game - it's an interesting mechanic and I feel it makes you more invested in building a team than other games where you just choose from a select few.

It doesn't change the core gameplay that much, but it's a bit novel to have no main protagonist and everyone's expendable - you build a team, rather than a bunch of people who can support you personally.

It's somewhat similar to GTA5 where you switch between characters, but here you can switch between millions of characters (though you have to recruit them first) and use any one for a mission or just walk/drive around.

You still get attached to certain recruits though - and it adds an extra dimension because you can choose to play with permadeath on, where the game still continues as long as you have one living recruit, but if your current character takes too much damage they will be killed off forever.

It's clearly the best way to play and it really adds a lot to the game when you're on a mission with a favourite character knowing that you'll never play as them again if you screw up too badly.

Glad to hear the positive review! This is one of three games I was really excited for this year. (cyberpunk and bloodlines 2 being the other 2)

Yes, I forgot about Cyberpunk when saying WD:L would probably be my GOTY - if it's released this year, then I'm sure that would be the one. Project Red never disappoint (release dates excepted).

Also looking forward to Bloodlines 2, but looks like that won't be out this year.

Almost glad Cyberpunk got delayed again though so I'll have plenty of time to enjoy WD:L before it's released.

I was going to sub to Uplay+ for a month to play WD:L but everything I saw said it had horrible performance on PC.
