Trying to play Flight Simulator through my game pass ultimate, went to download the xbox pc app but the installer itself crashes instantly. So about as expected.

Wasteland 3 and CK3 both on gamepass.

Being able to pick them up for 1£ seems like piracy.

Also if they keep up adding games of this quality a yearly subscription of 84£ is an absolute steel.

I had to stop and restart the installer a few times. Even uninstalling everything at one point after it was halfway done, but wouldn't install anymore for some reason.

Eventually got it to work.

In case you missed it in the past, Into the Breach is free on Epic for the next week. Made by the creator of FTL.

Next week's free game 'Railway Empire' looks pretty cool. Granted, I've never played any of the multiple railroad world builder games.

Amount of time spent on prep prior to each battle is pretty high.

I mean, it's an RPG first and an xcom battle system clone second, so its dense in a similar way as Divinity Oroignal sin or Pillars of Eternity.

I'm really enjoying it but...

I have never had a game crash more for me on the xbox. I'm about 10 hours in and have experience 7 crashes. Make sure you turn on auto saving as it's not the default setting.

Game seems really contrived to me, oh look we will shove another tricky decision in your face, very often just pulling that decision out of a box in a surprise gotcha moment.

Also not a fan of hard binary skill checks, you either got the level or you have not. My tip, make sure to level someone single in lock picking.

I put about 12 hours in I guess, got to a bit that again just seemed like a really contrived bet you wernt expecting this tricky conundrum segment, and naaah, CK3 all the way baby.

I dont think I made myself clear by using the word deep. I didnt mean to imply the story was deep and meaningful in some way, more that I am doing 20 minutes of inventory/character management after every meaningful level up/battle

CK3 can be so brutal on Ruler Death as a million well laid schemes go down the shitter and you are plopped right back at square one.

Oh yes, its one game I rage close, take a breather from, roll up the sleaves and head back in, cleaning up a mess and then going again is what makes the game.

That said I think they have made map painting a bit too easy in this version, but succession and other events can hit harder.
