Last week the free epic game was The Messenger which I've heard only good things about.

It seems about once a month a free epic game helps me remove stuff from my Steam wishlist.

Green Man Gaming is giving away 5 free games with certain game purchases. I found the list on Reddit and it's pretty shitty (not really worth posting), but if you are looking for a tiebreaker if multiple sites have the same price on something, there you go.

Steam controller shipped to my door for ~$13! I never really considered using one, but for $5 + $8 shipping from Steam, why not. Last chance to get it supposedly.

hey guys, any idea if new games can still appear on this year's sale? Some of the games I wanted to buy are not on sale (NieR ), and I dont know if I should just buy something else from my wishlist or wait till Monday

They don't do flash sales or whatever anymore. The price you see now is the price for the rest of the sale.

There is another sale end of December, at it is usually the biggest of the three late-year sales, so you probably won't have to wait too long for it to go on sale.

I got this game from Epic and it's really good, plays like a bit simplified Shovel Knight. Main movement tech is really satisfying once you learn how to use it effectively (took me like 2 levels), platforming is fun and I actually like the humorous writing, even if it's a bit over the top sometimes. Unfortunately, I've heard that the 2nd half of the game is significantly worse, but I havent gotten there yet.

Oh, and it's pretty easy, which is nice for me, as I absolutely suck at anything involving platforming. Perfect when I have 20-30 mins and nothing to do.

Ok, bought a game on GMG and got the five free games. Don't bother. It's not worth it. Plus, you have to jump through the hoops of creating some Intel gaming account.

For someone that has never played a Dark Souls game but wants to play the best one, which would you pick?

I haven't played any of them, but I'd imagine people saying 1 > others have some nostalgia-glasses on. Picking 3 seems like the obvious choice in series that are not actual sequels story-wise.

for me, it's close between 1 and 3. 1 is more slow and methodical, so it is best at giving you the core "souls" experience, however it can feel a bit clunky. It is also significantly easier than 3 (most people played 1 first, which is why they feel it's the hardest, but that's just not the case).

My advise is, if you are definitely only going to play one of them, play 3. If there is any chance of you playing the entire trilogy if you get into it, start with 1 and see where it gets you.

I went with getting the 1st one. One interesting thing I noted was price-wise the most expensive one was #1. The cheapest was #2. #3 was in the middle.

Dark souls 1 remastered is the most recently released game afaik

There are some significant differences between the 3. The first game’s connected world is one of the best pieces of game design ever. 2 almost completely abandoned the concept. 3 brought it back but to a much lesser extent.

Confirming love for DS1. It took me a few uninstalls to beat it. Then I went for 100% and I loved it. I beat DS2 once, but not 100%, I tried going for it but got bored. Still haven't beaten DS3 though after losing a 20hr save file, never kept me hooked or going.

Pretty sure most people have it already but Wasteland 2 is free on GoG for the next day or 2
