The Spyro trilogy only came out last month. I feel bad for the people that paid $40 for it.

I really wish I didn't love Rockstars games so much.

I mean... I'd love to boycott them for so many reasons, but they have such awesome games that I just can't.

Rockstar's games are great, but their storytelling is ****.

Dominions 5 was on sale, so I've been getting repeatedly and very easily crushed on it.

That's cool. They filmed that a while ago so was wondering when it would come out, thanks for posting.

We recently announced that we signed with Team17 who also did Overcooked so now we have the street cred. Also announced in the latest trailer all the launch platforms, including Steam :P

Game looks super fun. O/u number of slices of toast that Kabong ate during the making? I'm going with 60.

The initial pitch for Moving Out must have been hilarious. "No, seriously. It's a game about moving people's stuff. Ha, ha, no, it's not like Total War."

I'll definitely be buying it. Probably buy multiple copies so my kids can have them on their Steam accounts, too.

The first Yooka-Laylee was a big disappointment to me, but I still have high hopes for this one

It's been 2 years and I eat toast almost every day. My main character hasn't been revealed yet but it's round and has sprinkles.

I always wanted to make a Total War clone and I finally did.

Seriously though, pitching this game was interesting to say the least.

I watched the trailer linked above before watching the gameplay video and I have to be honest, the trailer kinda turned me off from it a little but the gameplay looks REALLY fun...like, very very fun, even if it's something I probably won't be playing because I have no friends =P I only intend the comment as constructive, not trying to be edgy or be a downer. I'm sure you 99.5% have nothing to do with the marketing so I hope you don't take it personally.

LOL you're right that I have hardly anything to do with marketing however that little that I did was making both trailers I directed and edited both of them lol. I worked in TV production before game development and I occasionally get contracted to do trailers for games outside of hours so was called in for these.

With that said, I don't take it personally at all and appreciate any feedback whether it be positive or negative. Not a downer at all. You're never going to improve as a designer if you can't take criticism, nothing will hurt you more than having people constantly telling you everything you do is good. I don't want to release something bad and not fun so I want to know if and why something is bad or not fun so I can fix it. You're not the first to say that about the trailer as well but there's a bit of a story behind the production of it and the limited time/resources we had so I'm just happy we got something out in time to be honest.

Was there anything specific that put you off? I won't be making future trailers for this now, T17 are taking over that but good to know for myself anyway.

Yeah they're very cool and easy to work with, they give great feedback and insight too. They're English and we're Australian so there's a lot of cheeky banter as well.

Man, I feel like a jerk! haha.

Anyway, since you asked I rewatched the same trailer. I think now that I've seen gameplay and understand what the game is about, the trailer is better than my original watch. I just think a lot of the humor assumes knowledge of the game and someone that knows literally zero about the game can't appreciate it. I can't think of an example, but I'd imagine a trailer for Portal 1 where all it does is make in-jokes about the cake being a lie and lines from the ending song. It's funny to the people in the know.

I'm being a little unfair as your trailer DOES portray all the basics and presents a lot of information about the game, but I felt a little lost and that the gameplay looked pretty frantic. (which honestly looks like it captures the game feel in hindsight). I did enjoy the segment that ended with "Ghosts?? what?" and found that very funny on the first view. The humor was good. I just felt a little lost through the trailer I guess.

I'm glad you're not taking it personally. These weren't nitpicks that would keep me from playing the game. I'm just offering because you asked.

I don't think someone making a product and the elements and marketing for it not being for you as a bad thing. If anything honest feedback is never a bad thing as long as it's constructive.

Haha, you're not a jerk, killer said it perfectly, honest constructive feedback is great and it's almost impossible to make something everybody will like.

It's not unfair, it's a pretty valid point if that's how you felt on the first watch. We wanted to go for a mock training video vibe but one thing I think we missed with the trailers was actually pointing out features of the game and how it actually plays. We never mention 1-4 players or how many levels and modes etc which I think could have helped give people a better idea of what the game actually is. If we had established that first then the jokes would probably have had more of an impact.

Thanks, any feedback that is explained well like that is always appreciated.

Picked up Die Young and it is an excellent survival game for those who like them.

There's simple crafting of equipment but no base building or stuff like that - a lot of parkour-like gameplay with climbing buildings and mountainsides but the controls are really good so it works well.

It looks great and is set on a beautiful Mediterranean island - the story is not very original (you wake up having been kidnapped and need to find your friends and try to escape the island) but there's enough mystery and discovery to keep it interesting and worth following.

It certainly deserves a lot more attention than what it's gotten - very cheap for what you get also.
