I thought I replied. Sorry. I went ahead and bought it after your and Thay3r's recommendation. Pretty cool game. Takes a little bit to research the statistics and everything.
I think it would be pretty cool if you started unemployed and then ONE or two teams offered you a job in the minors and had you work up.
My first league was with the Pirates as GM. So much to do. First season I was 82-80. Second season I thought I was cool and made some roster moves, didn't resign a couple guys, thought the minor leaguers were ready, and at one point was like 50-70. Super terrible.
Then, started another league as Manager only. It's easier not having to worry about moving minor leaguers around and calling them up, etc. It feels like cheating to ask the AI to manage everything.
Managing lineups is a lot easier. Still not doing very well. Record is below .500 still. I guess the Pirates are just that bad.
I need to figure out a way that is enjoyable to play and really think about all the moves or how to rebuild a team to take it from not great to World Series Champions.
