For any car simulator fans, I was watching EJ_SA on twitch playing the game BeamNG.drive The game tries to model realistic physical damage for the cars that are driven on a street/freeway map. Want to see what happens to a car driven into a lightpost at 120mph? You can do that! Plus it has a slow-mo feature so you don't miss a single crunch

The game has a zillion different configuration options for a decent spectrum of cars.

BeamNG.Drive found on Steam for $25

I'm really surprised this hasn't been stuffed into a humble bundle.

I picked up a never-worn velvet Affliction blazer from Goodwill a few weeks ago for $7. I think I'll wear it and play Super Seducer.

Wow, Warhammer: Total War is pretty big upgrade over any TW game in last 5 years or so. Probably its only flaw is pretty boring factions. This makes me much more optimistic about Thrones of Britannia too which releases next month.

Have you done the combined map yet?

I thought that siege battles were a huge step back for this installment, but other than that the game is pretty great. Wish I had time to play the combined map.

Also very excited for thrones. I love the setting and the campaign style play seems fun too.

Not yet, I want to try the factions in smaller map first. From what I've read, the combined map is pretty much strict upgrade to W1's campaign map since it runs on the W2's rules which add more building slots to region capitols + bunch of other nice improvements like more logical traits and why they happen. For example, my 2nd hero that never left the city eventually got trait builder, that makes building slightly cheaper. When you hover the trait, the game tells you it came from hanging around in city when projects were started and also shows it has total of 3 possible levels. She eventually also got "lazy" or something similar for never going out .

The lack of building slots was a complaint of mine in the first one, so that's a nice improvement. There's so many things to keep track of that I never even looked at the traits, just kind of accepted that they were there.

I am constantly forgetting about heroes so I had quite a few with "lazy" lol

Later on it definitely becomes kind of pointless (+ late game is kinda boring in every large-scale strategy game). The traits do add some humor and character to the games though. In Medieval 2, I still remember my heir having "Hates French"-trait because we had been warring for last 20 years.

The campaign UI is disgusting.

I agree, although possible for different reasons than you. I dislike the 3D map and would much rather have more simple map where things are easier to find. Agents are also really bad both UI and gameplay-wise.

Anyone have any opinions on Warframe? Seems pretty fun, but I haven't gotten too far into it and I'm not really sure how to play overall. I was looking at Destiny 2, but after seeing it getting some bad reviews I decided to hold off.

So after only taking 2 years after release to actually make the Division somewhat enjoyable to play, The Division 2 is now a thing.

Warframe is amazing, especially for a free to play game.

The whole series is awesome, esp when they learn they can mess around with gravity.

Probably best historical TW title since Shogun 2. The Western Roman Empire campaign was fun since you start with large, about to crumble, empire. Eastern Rome is bit too easy, Sassanids is good beginner choice. If you like to start small, Saxons is good choice. Most of the remaining options are hordes, which I'm not big fan of, mainly because I hate ranged cavalry.

There were so many points in this series that are some of my favorite "can't stop laughing" highlights of anything I've watched involving video games. I was going to post a link but someone was on top of it. I'd recommend at least the first few episodes and if you're not into it, that's cool. If you are, though, you're really going to like it a lot. I know that sounds dumb but whatever.
