Steam as referred to in the thread title is the store and gaming software interface for the PC, not an actual game.

I had posted this before "I am looking to get the Lab on Steam with the HTC Vive. Do I need to do this with a computer or can I get xbox or playstation? Looking to get a good set-up in a room. Tried it last weekend and specifically want to have a system where I can stand and move around (as well as sit I guess). I specifically liked Longbow. "

Appreciate any responses since I am not sure what I should get. When I played Longbow it was on a gaming computer at a store fwiw.

I think you are trolling to be honest, but to answer your question invest in an $1800+ gaming computer that is specifically VR ready. That does not include the cost of the HTC Vive. The Vive is for PC.

PS4 has its own VR equipment, it is half the price and not as technically good. If you already own a PS4 Pro it would be a much cheaper option though.

VR seems to still be in the 'early adopter' phase in my opinion so no need to rush into it unless you are really into it.

Meat Boy has run out of keys as well which is strange. Maybe it's different for EA games but with steam you can basically just press a button and request new keys. How humble works is you just send them a txt file with the keys to your game. I remember one year there was someone from humble walking around PAX with a USB stick that had like 3 million keys on it and was joking about losing it. I wonder if Subnautica is a case of them not being able to get more keys or having a cap on how many they wanted to give out.

They've run out before in these large bundles, happened with the last one - probably were given a limited amount and burned through them while raising > $3 million with this bundle.

Damn wish I had seen that bundle earlier, subnautica probably the game I'd want most from it. Still pretty tempting but I'd probably just end up playing The Witness and Stardew Valley of the ones I don't own already so might be better to just buy them on a sale or in another bundle later. Apparently they reveal more games for it in 3 hours though so that might tip the scale.

I've already got the witness and stardew valley so I'll likely be passing on this. If someone doesn't want the R book I would gladly take that however. Might be getting it from a friend, but figured I'd throw it out here as well. No clue how the books work through humble bundle.

You do not need an $1800 computer to run a vive. A 6gb 1060 can run a vive.

that is true, but the point remains that unless kazor literally has money coming out of his ears, buying a pc+vive just because he enjoyed a 5 min tech demo is probably not the best use of $2k. i say this as someone who owns gen 1 VR.

I recently built an absolute bare minimum VR ready PC with a 3gb 1060. Total build was about $800(on Black Friday, counting rebates). That is with no OS purchase. Buying one pre-built with OS is about $1000. So you do have a point, I guess there is more of a range of $1000 to $1800. $1000 would be bare minimum. Anything over $1800 is probably overkill. I'm not convinced going the minimum route is a good idea if you plan on getting into VR long term.

Just my opinion of course, having looked into all of this a couple months ago. Not an expert on VR or anything. I haven't even tried the Vive yet...

It is funny man, the day before that bundle came out there was talk at work about adding some R functionality to one of our products. I only have very limited experience with R so that was one of the more interesting things in the bundle for me, as random as that is lol. I think I'm passing on the bundle though. If I really want to learn some more R basics I'll just google it...

Pretty much nailed the circumstances and my intent. I still want to do it but are you saying to hold off because the technology is changing so quickly?

To be fair- it was a great demo.

Any other jrpg nerds here considering paying the outrageous price for tales of berseria? I had given up on the series as they seem to just churn out game after game, but this one has amazing reviews.

The only JRPG I will buy for full price will be Persona 5.

Lol like I said, I'm actually interested in this. Used R a fair amount previously and my wife uses it all the time.
