Just got my beta invite this morning. As someone who only played about 1 hour of witcher 2 when it was a free 360 games for gold game, can anyone give me a basic idea of the lore and how that might apply to a CCG?

There is no lore.

Witcher 3 had a card game in it. Some famous NPCs were made into cards. No other lore needed (at least in the W3 version).

It's like Hearthstone, it's not like the lore matters in any way in it, other than "oh cool, I know this guy".

Yeah I loved Gwent in Witcher 3 but I played a bit when the beta started and haven't bothered playing again.

I'm enjoying it, around level 30 and rank 13. This new patch improved a lot of balancing issues

Was finally able to trade for Nuclear Throne, woot. In a good mood so going to give away Project Highrise from that last bundle but we'll make it a little 2p2 game so either an old reg and/or someone who wants to put in a tiny bit of effort can get it: which poster designed my avatar? Hint that might give advantage to a reg: it's a poster known for making art.

Also have Husk if anyone wants that, no question required.

Project Highrise looks like a SimTower knock-off.

One of the my friends loves Sim Tower and passionately hates Project Highrise.

I read up on it quickly and it sounds like it's more clicker than strong tower builder. Still seems in fairly high demand compared to many of the other bundle games out there.

weev told me to get LogicBots, anyone else heard of it/played it? It's not Zachtronics so I'm hesitant.

It went from €39,99 to €35,99. Not much of a sale.

FTL creators released a new trailer:

Even though I totally suck at FTL and I will suck at this one most likely it seems quite unique and interesting

As a huge fan of FTL, I am severely disappointed with that trailer.

Not my cup of tea at all.

Yeah I thought it was lame. Excited to finally nab FTL for iPad on sale, though

Gwent and GOG can officially kiss my (_!_). Been trying to d/l gog's server since I got the beta invite and everytime I get a link that either times out or leads to nowhere.

I have been in the gwent beta for a while now. I think it is excellent. I am surprised I am in the minority.

As a casual Hearthstone player I am looking forward to giving Gwent a try. I didn't get an invite though because I still have Witcher 3 on my backlog

What on Earth?

Quote:
Key features:

- The atmosphere of a bygone era of horror movies of 60's - 80's.
- Gameplay based on stealth
- Realistic physics of women's breasts and butt.

Who the hell makes a game like that and doesn't include deathmatch!

I'm not sure how much I'll end up liking LogicBots, but it's fun at the start. You build a robot to navigate basic obstacles like you might see in a HS/college robotics competition, like following a maze or a painted line. You can design some basic robots with a few limited bodies and wheel types and some attachments for mounting sensors, and a circuit board design mode where you create the logic for it. You get some basic logic gates that take inputs from sensors and output to control a few different motor functions. The board layout is limited in space, but so far that hasn't felt like a constraint. The design interface is pretty clunky and tedious, having to delete attachments because they're not the right size or orientation, which removes all the sensors, so you're doing a lot of repeat design.

Basically if the premise sounds fun, you'll probably like it, but don't expect the polish of a Zactronics game. There's a demo on the Steam store page.

If anyone wants to go in together, I'll contribute $10 and all I want from it is The Witness. You can have the rest.
