Cool bundle but why did you link to kotaku instead of itch.io?

Link to bundle - https://itch.io/b/149/a-good-bundle

you have any thoughts on this? you're the most knowledgeable about obscure games

Well a lot of the games are free and the goal of the bundle is to "combat some of the ugliness in our world" despite both of those charities only benefiting Americans so it's up to you whether you want to support it. You can try most without spending money though.

Paid games that I've played and know are good are Blitz Breaker and Expand. There's a couple others like Proteus but I don't really like recommending games like that.

Itch.io is great if you're ever bored or want to check out some weird and unique free games. Prepare to see some **** though.

Looking through a list like that always amazes me at how many games are actually out there.

Finally Just Cause 3 reaches the 75% off where I can justify buying it.

Any opinions on whether the Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass is worth picking up at the same time?

Also - Doom 67% off - not sure how to process that.

Edit: Actually, if you include the Doom season pass at 40% and Unto the evil at 40% and average it (67+40+40/3) you get 49%!

Spoiler:

not sure i can use it really, but i bought it anyway.

does it work with wifi by default? I know they strongly recommend wired, but sometimes you just can't do wired.

I don't know how well it works but I figure for $20, I don't have much to lose. My desktop computer and family room tv are on opposite sides of the house.

Wired also gives lower latency...

A long HDMI cable may be an alternate solution... (except possible controller range issues)

What's a great game to play on a piece of **** laptop? Mainly for playing on a TV with an Xbox controller.

I'm looking for something a bit more complex that your average platformer, but you know, that my laptop can handle.

I can run Crusader Kings II AGOT a bit laggy with Westeros only mod, but I want something to play from my couch. Co-op is a major plus.

So I guess I wrote my original post like an idiot. What I meant to say was that I'm looking for a game with depth that I can play on a ****ty laptop, that isn't a standard platformer (as that is typically what's recommended for ****ty laptops).

Mash has convinced me to give Dark Souls 1 a shot.
