As far as RTS games go there is Starcraft 2 and I guess.....Starcraft 2?

Some more strategy games you might want to look into are Europa Universalis 4 and Endless Legend.

The first half dozen of these will be the most graphically intensive:

Witcher 3
The Division
GTA 5
MGS 5
Fallout 4
Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Mass Effect Trilogy
The Witness
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Bioshock Infinite
Assassins Creed: Black Flag
Max Payne 3
Portal 1 & 2
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City

For puzzle and platform games your best bet is to look up games on Steam and see if any look interesting. Here is a list of a few:

Puzzle
Platformers

thx guys, will look through in more detail this weekend.

fallout 4 looks pretty good!

i actually got a code for the division free with my graphics card but sold it already based on the reviews and my interest in that.

gta 5 i would love to play and check out the graphics on pc, but it's expensive. will see!

The Crysis series are older (therefore inexpensive) and will give your occulus sytem a workout if you max the graphics options.

The Metro games are also pretty good and were recently repackaged after a graphics makeover.

Witcher 3 is many chevrons > superior to FO4.

Also has much better graphics.

I bought a gaming pc a few months back, after years and years of failing to play games on a crappy laptop (I managed to clunk my way around ME 1+2).

First game I got was Witcher 3. I think it's somewhat spoiled my gaming experience ever since, in a good way I guess. I could literally spend hours doing nothing productive, just exploring far corners of the map, or playing gwent.

The Division even though it had a great start and everybody was playing it just after a month after release seems pretty much dead. Ubisoft is censoring now forums mentioning state of the game and plummetting playerbase.

Yeah, I'll stick to /r/patientgamers style of playing games.

Just a reminder that the Doom open beta is this weekend. Also Rainbow Six Siege is free on Steam for the weekend.

Yeah definitely cannot recommend Doom after a few matches, feels very basic and overall just not fun at all.

Do you ever adjust the sliders on Humble Bundle? I always give everything to the devs of games I actually wanted.

I always give 100% to devs also.

Was in the battleborn alpha and it was so unfun/boring to me.

0% to devs 100% to charity. lol giving any to humble.

But I made 16 humble bundle purchases in 2014 and only 2 since so it is basically 0% to everyone now.

This is the worst news I've heard all week. Why is it bad?

Feels like someone took the multiplayer from Halo Reach and said "What can we do to make this less dynamic and less fun?" It's like a crappy, basic arena-based shooter, the guns are uninteresting and there's just no "edge" to it or reason to come back and play more.

Don't bother with the HD version if you have the original game. Everyone just plays on voobly.com anyway. Original game + current userpatch is virtually identical to the HD version. Still the best RTS around imo

I'm skeptical about this. Devolver funded and paid for marketing I think their cut is way higher.

Yeah sure, but for sure the devs got rich in both cases, which is still mindblowing to me (even though it shouldn't be a surprise)

Time to learn Unity I guess. Even if I wouldn't call the Gungeon guys rich.

Definitely a sweet payday for them but yeah either Devolver takes a bigger cut for helping with development costs or the developers ate them while making the game and are just now getting paid. Still not as rich as the Flappy Bird guy.
