Bought Darkest Dungeon today and quite enjoying it. It's quite harder than I expected which is actually really awesome. Anyone else playing this game?

Probably my favorite part of the game is starting a new boss mission and hearing the monologue prelude.

Edit - I would say most of my most heart breaking losses were totally on me gambling and knowingly taking risks I didn't have to because I was greedy. Also, I know I don't dismiss heroes enough. Occasionally rng will screw you, but you actually have a fair amount of protection against your characters dying. They don't die when they hit zero hp, even if they are sitting on 1 hp and get hit for 20. And just healing them 1 gets you back above the threshold. And when they take damage at zero they usually survive.

The stress mechanic is pretty well done, too.
Thanks - looks like I'll have to pick it up pretty soon then

Yes, 5$ is about as much as I'd pay for it. It is really fun for 1-2 games.

I was going to give away the crappy stuff like CIV3, CIV4, Starships, Ace Patrol, Pirates... but they now bundle each tier of games under one steam key.
Looks like the "more games coming later" are the old X-Com games and two map packs for Civ V, according to people who know how to look this stuff up in the Steamdb.

I like that it's utterly ridiculous but they play it 100% straight. There's no knowing nods or any ironic immersion breaking asides that I've noticed.

Scrap Mechanic looks like it could be a fun game. I've been watching lirik and shortyy play it for the last hour and they're doing some crazy ****.

Creative mode is the only setting working right now but it has a lot of options to build different things.

Thats kinda the point, right? If I end up liking xcom I got a new game to dive into after 100 odd hours.

Yeah maybe standing alone, but with the 3 previous Civs and XCOM it's gonna be a long time before you crack it open for those 1-2 games.

http://www.gog.com/game/sid_meiers_alpha_centauri

is a better use of that $5

$6 for Alpha Centauri+DLC seems like a steal.

I paid 3 times that last fall...

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but Atari announced they're releasing 100 classic games in a bundle on Steam.

Uhh. Yes, please. Goodbye social life.

Got that half a year ago in alpha, and played a bit (~20 weeks or so), quite enjoyable.

I would really like an in-depth guide to this game (roster composition, efficient party/skill setup, recommendations for optimal hamlet and skill upgrade order etc.) If anyone has a good resource on that (apart from the wiki), please share!

Have 454 games on steam atm. few AAA titles, few bundle games. Had it for a while though, but they sure add up.
