Depending on which version of red alert you are talking about Steam has Red Alert 3, Command & Conquer 3, and Command and Conquer 4.

Starcraft 2 is another modern RTS game. Planetary Annihilation and Company of Heroes are other choices but I don't think they have much story if that's one of the reasons you liked Red Alert.

They are making badly timed in jokes. Company of Heroes is a good one. Red Alert anthology goes on sale for $5 a lot. Of course there is stuff like StarCraft if you stretch your definition.

So I purchased Grey Goo and it's downloading now. I'm pretty excited at getting back into pc gaming.

I'd also would like to try L4D2 sometime with normal people, playing in pugs sucks but you can clearly see that this game has potential.

Rushing home from school because 10 minutes after the lessons ended episodes aired in some random polish tv. The only game that was not horrible in this world was probably Mugen but that was community made so overall the game wasn't very good objectively. I understand there's little hope it will be stellar but the screenshots look nice enough and it feels like they're capturing the spirit while making it look slightly modern. Bandai Namco is behind this so maybe it can be good. Let's wait and see.
