Old Thief is old, but Hitman 2 is GOAT of the series. I completed it on GameCube and Xbox, definitely worth a play. I liked Blood Money and Absolution, but neither have the perfect balance between freeplay decisions, missions, and loadout options like Silent Assassin.
Invisible War is fantastic, but definitely geared toward consoles. I played it on the original Xbox as well; cyberpunk Morrowind.

Borderlands 2 is a FPS Diablo with really good writing and an engaging and balanced loot/leveling system. It's the best action-RPG I've ever played, not just FPS, but 3rd person, isometric, etc.

Everyone go to steam and get hooked up with Eve Online while it is on sale if you have not tried it. There is something unique about this game... no other game has managed to spike my adrenaline to cold sweat/hand shaking levels other than maybe no limit holdem.

No, but I did read about one that cost about $200,000 in real money (if you were to simply convert bought PLEX into in game isk). It must have ruined someone's day LOL. The fact that you can lose anything you are willing to leave a station with is what adds that extra weight to your decisions and brings that adrenaline rush.

I love Big Picture, but I won't be messing with the music player until it's finalized. I've tried it recently and every time it would freeze my client or game, or just not detect any audio files. Buggy and clunky.

If you're playing on your desktop there's no point at all, alt-tabbing is still the way to go.

Leave it to Origin to offer an version of the Sims to promote the Sims 4 later this year. At this point I think even the Sims 3 would be considered ancient.

New golf game with essentially the same swing mechanics as Tiger Woods but without all the XP BS and dumb arcade crap like being able to affect what direction the ball goes after your swing. It's just golf pure and simple where the quality of your reads and swings determine how well you play.

Another great feature is you can play against your friends live online or you can play against ghost rounds of either your friends' best round on a course or other people who have recently played good rounds

There are no licensed courses but there is an easy to use kick ass course creator and there are already user created versions of courses like Bethpage and Pinehurst.

The game is not perfect by any means, but i have been playing for a few weeks now and it gets better with every update they do. The biggest issue so far is there is no swing meter and the controls are a bit sluggish in reaction time so it can be difficult to hit a 1/2 or 3/4 power shot but it is something the developers are aware of and working on.

BL2 is absolutely that good and then some. You never need to pointlessly grind, everything is a quest, everything is direct action, until the post-game you'll never need to farm a boss or any of the numerous other soul sucking design flaws common to dungeon crawlers. You just go around doing the quests you want, and the game's level scaling system tells you when it's time to move on. Damn near perfect.

The actual mechanics of shooting with the paper/rock/scissor weapon elements are also really well done, they make sure you're constantly upgrading weapons and not just riding one good gun at a time.
