Why, is Cities XL better - never heard of that.

I bought the Crysis package and Sim City 4 today, mainly because I spent so much time playing Sim City 2000 years ago...

Sim City 4 was released full of bugs and with lackluster sales. EA basically abandoned support of the game within a year.

I loved Sim city and still enjoyed SC4, but Cities XL 2011 is the game Sim City 4 should have been.

I'm going to be getting a Radeon HD 5770 sometime in the next couple weeks. Is Crysis a must buy? Is there any substance besides "ooooh, pretty"?

Crysis is an awesome game. I was skeptical going in thinking the gameplay wouldn't be great, but the game is rock solid, IMO. I had a ton of fun playing through it. In fact, when I noticed it on sale it made me think about playing through it again.

I still prefer SC4 over Cities XL. It's not like sim city isn't playable and you won't notice the bugs anyway ( played well over +100 hours, and couldn't tell you a bug ). I never could get into cities XL, yet played so many hours of sim city it's sick.

Also, while Maxis may have abandoned the game, the community hasn't, and you can find a ton of mods.

Any of you folks pick up Titan Quest during this winter sale? I'd go for some multiplayer in that if anyone else is up for it. It's also still only $10 if anyone wants to grab it.

How much harder is super meat boy than iwbtg (if at all)? I beat iwbtg on hard, thought it was really challenging but nothing that made me pull my hair out.

1.05% of those who have it on xbox live finish the final level.

(Not sure if there are steam stats somewhere)

I'm stuck on stage 5 @ 15/17 trying to find two more I can beat to get the boss.

Also, the above screenshot looks like a warp or whatever they are called, not an actual level, those are all super difficult. The dark worlds are much more difficult too.

yeah, i hoped this would be one of my most valued purchases since my setup finally can handle this game....however, after installing i got this black screen when i fired up (and nothing else) and after googling a bit i'm starting to realise this specific error has brought me in a world of hurt. Easy fixes didn't work, so i'm re-installing now.....but this could take a while

first sales-day i didn't buy anything

I feel pretty much covered in every genre i may be in the mood for for the next year or so. Doesn't mean i won't cave for a great deal...but i'm winding down, and am glad for it

played the demo on the PS3. It's a fun and challenging turn based strategy game. It really has some deep moves and some "oh ****, did the AI just pwn me?" moments.

I liked it but never bought it for 12€ or what it went for on the PSN.

I'd reccomend it if you like the genre.

iwbtg is just **** you with you unexpected ******** for a lot of it. Super Meat Boy there is no random ********, but is absolutely pretty much as challenging as platformers get. Good luck with all the dark side levels...I did beat the stage mentioned above earlier today, god that took a while.

Super Meat boy is one of the hardest games I've played in a long time, its controls take me back to the good old days of the original Mario for the NES, it has the best game play and control system which has ever been applied to a platform game, ever. Team Meat are certainly going places with the use of the 'Tommunism Engine'.

I haven't reached that level yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it!

hmmm...scratch that, bought Race07 with GTR-Evolution yesterday. Luckily i stumbled across them, since i wanted GTR for a while, and apparently all simbin titles are 75%-off, despite not being advertised for it anywhere on the site! So perhaps this post will make another simracer happy
