Fantastic game. Absolutely great.
Not real familiar with Steam, but i just picked up World of Goo for $2.50. Definitely looks like my type of game. Also got the Indie Puzzle Pack (Cogs, Droplitz, Puzzle Dimension, Shatter, & Tidalis) for $5. Cogs and Puzzle Dimension looked interesting. I figured if just one of the games is decent it will be worth my 5 bucks.

Yeah I picked up World of Goo as well.

Cogs is a fun puzzle game, droplitz I have too but I think I installed it once, played for 5 mins and then deleted it.

Osmos is another good indie game I've had for a while. Flow is probably the game closest to it in gameplay, or maybe the very first stage of Spore. Your a little cell and your goal is to absord smaller cells to get big, while avoiding bigger cells. Very nice soundtrack too, excellent game to play just to relax. Its not on an individual deal though, just 12 copies for $20, on for the next 3 hours. There is a demo of it on steam too.

Quote:
Enter the ambient world of Osmos: elegant, physics-based gameplay, dreamlike visuals, and a minimalist, electronic soundtrack. Your objective is to grow by absorbing other motes. Propel yourself by ejecting matter behind you. But be wise: ejecting matter also shrinks you. Relax - good things come to those who wait.

I was just thinking about Monkey Island the other day. Too bad I can't get both remakes for cheap. I'll take 2 for $2.50 just fine though. Also picked up KOTOR. Buy it if you haven't played it.

I bought the Indie Air Pack, KOTOR, and Monkey Island today.

I've bought basically all the Indie packs so far this week.

Whats up guys. I post mostly in mttc so not many of you know me in this forum although I visit from time to time to lurk threads. Anyway. Hello.

So, what do you guys think about the Kinect? Who owns it and likes/dislikes it? Is it worth going and buying a 360 to play it? Thanks for input.

Its definately worth more than $5, prolly not more then $25. Can get repetitive after a while, but killing zombies is tons of fun. I play it mostly on xbox live with friends, but buying it on steam for $5 just to play with randoms would still be worth it.

I got KOTOR for steam and it was one of the buggiest games I've ever played. I had to stop playing somewhere after you land on the first planet because it would crash all the time. Couldnt figure out if it was my computer or the game so it might be worth picking up if you can get it to work.

If anyone needs help or tricks with altitude just let me know. Played over 800 hours of it so far. Slightly addictive. >.>

Hmm hopefully it's patched and/or works with my hardware. For $2.50 it's certainly worth a shot.

I just bought the indie air pack but none of the games are showing up on my list... If I go into the store and look up the games individually it says I own them, but there's no where for me to download/install them... I've restarted steam a number of times, and that didn't help... Anyone have any idea what I should do?

At the top of your games list it says "show" and then "recently played" or "installed". Change this to "all games".

I think there are probably threads dedicated to the 360 kinect, and a thread about steam is going to be a terrible place to get info on it.

FYI,

http://www.steamprices.com/ compares the international prices of the different games to ensure that Steam doesn't rip you off.

You can send gifts internationally - if an American purchaser buys the game as a gift for a Euro account, they get the US price, rather than the Euro price.

The best way to trigger a sale for a game is to buy it. As soon as you buy it, steam will have that exact game on sale the next day.

Works for me every time
