ya snagged a pre-release test copy key off his blog. all the games are available free as flash games. They're just put together in a nice package with a bunch of extras. Deleted scenes from IGTM, prototypes of the games, and artwork, etc. I finished 50% of them. Triachnid makes me want to punch babies, and grey matter I'm turrible at. It's a cool little package tho. He said there's some sort of discount if you own Gish, SMB, and Wrath of the Lamb.

they usually have a summer and a winter sale, those are the 2 major ones. they also have minor sales all the time, and green man gaming has steam games for sale as well, so it's worth checking there as well cuz sometimes they have different deals than steam does, but the same low prices.

but for the most part, there is the july sale, and the december sale.

interesting so I checked it and do the games you buy appear in your steam library after or do you need another client?

If it says "This game requires a free Steam account to play" then they give you a code, you redeem it on Steam and it's in library. If it doesn't then it most likely uses GMG's client which is a sack of ****.

at gmg, it will tell you if it requires steam to play. when you buy there, it immediately gives you a code, and you go to your steam window, click the +add a game on the lower left side of steam, click activate a product on steam, c&p the code, and it's in your library.

make sure when you buy from there that it says requires steam drm, some games are orgin etc.

also, sometimes amazon will have digital game sales as well, they ran a bunch of specials at the same time as the steam summer sale, same thing as above, you get a code and enter it in steam.

why do people like the walking dead game so much? isn't it like playing a comic book? didn't seem that interesting.

I love it. I love adventure games though. It's just really cool playing a game where your choices really do affect the game world and the story. It's not for everyone, there's very little action and it's very dialog heavy for example. It's not really like playing a comic, it's more like a point and click game without any puzzles if that makes sense. The whole game is really about the choices you make. There's little things about the game like how they have a timer on nearly every decision and text popping up on the screen with "He'll remember that" after you say something. Adds tension and makes you really think fast about your decisions. I'm second guessing my choices all the time. I enjoy the story even though I've never seen the show or read the books. Easily one of my favorite games of the year.

Walking Dead comic book is very good. TV show is a pile of ****. I've been wanting to get the game but Steam has trained me too well, 40% off isn't good enough to make me pull the trigger.

It's awesome. Love it so far.

You can start downloading it now, but you can only play it this weekend. It's like a 10gig download iirc, and not everyone has fios.

I played the demo, it seemed like it would be really really good, but it's not my type of game. I recommend the demo first. It is a good game though, I can see why people like it.

Has anyone played Orcs Must Die 2 yet? I enjoyed the 1st one quite a bit, but I bought it during a Steam sale for $3 or so. Is the new one worth the full $15? I don't have anyone that will play co-op with me if that would factor into my decision. (Unless one of you want to play it w/ me)
