Have tried Castle Crashers but it didn't really click for me. I thought I would love Spelunky 2 but it just feels weird compared to the original. Played the first one for a couple of hundred hours and the sequel for only 15.

fwiw it took me almost 50 hours to beat Spelunky 2 but I haven't done anything more since then. In Spelunky HD I had desire to do everything apart from eggplant run. Most of my 160 hours in there were probably spent on beating Hell though.

Defeat Tiamat is easiest way to make credits roll. No special conditions required, just keep going to exit.

Yea, reason I asked is that beating Tiamat is almost just the beginning even though you get the credits rolling

And by 'beginning' I mean I still spent 100 hours plus before I beat Tiamat (with no shortcuts) and still haven't gotten much further a hundred+ hours since then. I'm very bad at the game, but I do find myself firing it up and playing it almost daily - it's almost meditative to play at times. If mediation means frequent extreme frustration and anger

Yea, I'd prefer to link something from Twigglesoft (who does stuff like this on the daily), but that kind of thing is why I asked about what 'beating spelunky 2' really means in the first place

I chose not to get spelunky 2 cause it's just too hard for me and I'll never see more than 20% of the game. (I reached hell in the 1st one like 2 times, yes it's depressing)
