Humble Monthly is changing. Looks worse for new subscribers, but better for current ones, provided we're willing to stay subscribed (can still pause).
It will soon be called Humble Choice. It will be a tiered system. The big difference, aside from price, is that you get to choose a certain number of games from a set of 10.
Lite: $4.99/month - only access to Humble Trove and a 10% store discount
Basic: $14.99/month - pick 3 games, access to Humble Trove, 10% store discount
Premium: $19.99/month - pick 9 games, Humble Trove, 20% discount
Everyone who already has a subscription in effect when the change is made (right now, there's no set date, just later this year) is grandfathered in as Humble Classic.
Humble Classic: $12/month - 10 games, Trove, 20% discount
There's a slight discount for an annual subscription. Humble Classic subscribers can keep renewing and stay on the plan and still pause as usual, but as soon as you cancel completely, you can't come back as Classic.
It's clearly a solid deal for new subscribers, but is awful compared to Classic. The one upside I can think of is that maybe, possibly, the game selection will be better for the higher price? Who knows?
