If we had established that first then the jokes would probably have had more of an impact.

Thanks, any feedback that is explained well like that is always appreciated.
Yeah. I think the premise was great (i love the premise) and the execution actually pretty damn good if I'm to read between the lines and assume you had very little time to put the concept together. Not being able to proofread or edit drafts makes it really hard to put on that polish. Thanks for the back and forth about it. No need for a reply.

I really want to like Overdungeon as it seems like a great game, and something right up my street, however, even after playing quite a bit, I still feel I've no idea what I'm doing. Just randomly clicking buttons.

Humble Monthly is changing. Looks worse for new subscribers, but better for current ones, provided we're willing to stay subscribed (can still pause).

It will soon be called Humble Choice. It will be a tiered system. The big difference, aside from price, is that you get to choose a certain number of games from a set of 10.

Lite: $4.99/month - only access to Humble Trove and a 10% store discount
Basic: $14.99/month - pick 3 games, access to Humble Trove, 10% store discount
Premium: $19.99/month - pick 9 games, Humble Trove, 20% discount

Everyone who already has a subscription in effect when the change is made (right now, there's no set date, just later this year) is grandfathered in as Humble Classic.

Humble Classic: $12/month - 10 games, Trove, 20% discount

There's a slight discount for an annual subscription. Humble Classic subscribers can keep renewing and stay on the plan and still pause as usual, but as soon as you cancel completely, you can't come back as Classic.

It's clearly a solid deal for new subscribers, but is awful compared to Classic. The one upside I can think of is that maybe, possibly, the game selection will be better for the higher price? Who knows?

This change feels sleazy. The way they are handling "Classic" seems like they are trying tap into people's FOMO and lock in a bunch of long term subscribers who are too afraid to ever cancel. Hurting for short-term profits maybe?

The new plans are just worse in every way and it doesn't make sense. Top plan $19.99/mo and is strictly worse than the existing $12 (+discounts thrown at you to re-sub after you unsub). There should have been something the new plans have that classic doesn't to make this cost change feel somewhat justified.

I feel like momentum/hype for the monthly died a lot over the past 1/2 year to year and can see them really struggling to sell this new plan.

Yes, they did. Yes, we did. Yes, we can still complain about it.

I haven't logged into Origin in maybe a year, and a few days ago started getting emails from EA about logins from a new device. Updated my password ASAP. Curious how my account was compromised... To be fair I think I had a really bad password, which could be guessed. Where would they even get my username/email from though?

Email address is not private. Email in general is not a secure communication channel. Your email is exposed to the world.

Hmmm... at least my email has a reasonably secure password and two-factor authentication

So that EA coffee cup tweet was what everyone thought it was, EA coming back to Steam. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will launch on Steam and they announced next spring they are bringing EA Access to Steam.

So it means the end of Origin client eventually? Apex and all that stuff will move to Steam at some point?

Pretty sure you'll just launch Origin from steam.

Yeah I'm assuming it'll be like Ubisoft where you launch a game and uplay starts in the background. Still better then using the garbage Origin client.

Try putting your email into haveibeenpwnd.com (it's safe). It's likely you'll find yourself listed in a number of breaches.

Luckily I learned my lesson years back and started using unique complex passwords for every site/app/game/etc. I was previously using the same password for everything and then after the PSN account breach I suddenly found all my other accounts getting hacked into. Never doing that again!

^This.

I wonder if EA are giving up 30% like everyone else or if they cut a deal with Valve for less.
