An interesting game called Kabounce is being given away:

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably never get to it, but added it nonetheless.

I tried out an XBox One controller and confirmed that was the issue. I guess an XBox One game needs an XBox One controller... even on PC.

Steam Sale starts today, planning to load up cash I got on my birthday and spend it without regrets. I'd love Celeste, Dead Cells, Cuphead (probably won't buy it though because they're being ******ed with lowering the price), Grim Dawn expansions, maybe some ETS2 Italia, CK2 Holy Fury maybe too. We'll see.

Cuphead is my only full price purchase online ever and don't regret it (unless you count backing Yooka-Laylee and getting it for cheaper than it released at by backing). Last game before it that I bought full price was probably Skyward Sword on Wii.

Given what I know about these games I'd be more inclined to get Celeste or Dead Cells at full price over Cuphead. Cuphead afaik is not as replayable as these and there's a chance that I might not like it.

But then again I could buy it and return it after 2 hours, I bet I'd have realised by then if it's up my alley.

IMO worth it even at full price. Assuming you want to play CK2 (which, I admit, is a big if) the price difference between 5, 10 and 20€ is extremely small in comparison to how many hours you spend on the game and how much more fun the expansion makes the game.

My experience in CK2 is playing for 5 hours every 3 months...

They launched it at only $20 when most companies would have priced it at double that or more, so I can't blame them for not dropping it more.

Like that_pope, Cuphead is the only game I have paid full price for in a really long time, and I don't regret it at all. I only bought it at launch because the price was so reasonable.

Amazing news for fellow Dark Souls 1 fans, if you own DS:PTDE you get the Remastered edition for 90% off!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5...LS_REMASTERED/

This is on my favourite games of all time - however I have already 100%'d it... should I buy it anyway?

edit: I bought yesterday Cuphead, Celeste, Dead Cells and Holy Fury, yay. Gave Cuphead a go for an hour and it obviously hooked me up. Still considering ETS2 Italia (70% off) and Ashes of Malmouth (Grim Dawn 1st Expansion) for 30% off.

I just keep adding crap to my wishlist and never seeing anything at a reasonable price during sales. Thanks for the Remaster headsup, good deal if they insist on making us pay for it.. so obnoxious that smaller studios release free remasters for original owners and the big studios never do.

Borderlands 1 Remaster was free. I think -90% is acceptable, not sure what's my opinion on this.

Basic question:

I've decided to let my kids have their own Steam accounts (10 and 12 years old) so that they can play games with each other and not always have to be on my account. From what I understand, kids under 13 can't have one, so I would have to create them under my name. Is there any way to change the name/transfer the account to them when they get old enough (the oldest turns 13 in a few months) or will they be stuck with my name until they create a new one of their own one day (and lose all the games)?

Doesn't having them just entering their age as 13 solve all the problems?

That's what I did. And then enabled family sharing across the accounts.

I haven't gone through the signup process yet (it's been a billion years since I created my account) - I saw that there was an "I am 13 years old" check box. Is that it, or does Steam ask for an actual DOB?

I suppose I can just try it and see. For some reason, I feel less comfortable fudging the age than I do simply checking a box.

It seems they haven't yet caught on that 99% of their users were born on January 1st yet.

I assume there are a lot of Steam users who turned 119 this year.

I must be the sickest kind of rule follower ever because I carefully enter my real birthdate every time.

I used to do that as well but stopped a few years ago because of steam.

I've decided not to buy it after reading a dozen or so of the reviews, I advise getting familiar with the issues first.
