One year of Humble Monthly on sale for $99. The sale goes through Dec. 15th. I might finally bite.

What makes the $99 even sweeter is the ability to suspend the subscription. Mash taught me that trick.

Thanks for letting us know about the free games. Went to the Epic Games website to check it out and I've learned there's a new Super Meat boy game coming out next year that seems bad.

I want to remind that The End is Nigh is a criminally underrated masterpiece. I guess they simply didn't spend much on advertising and that's why it didn't sell more.

I didn't really stick with Subnautica. Steam says I have 7 hours on it and I don't feel much of a desire to go back and play. At its core it's a very pretty exploring + crafting game with annoying survival elements, and that just didn't quite do it for me.

Though I haven't played the game, I'd imagine I also wouldn't really like the game. I think I'd rather be playing "exploration" game with some other gameplay too, like Fallout or Skyrim.

- rather than just drawing lines to connect stations, you actually lay out the tracks between them and form junctions and stuff
- you have to actively switch junctions as trains go around your tracks to make sure each train gets to its destination station, prevent trains from crashing into each other, etc
- trains have cash value that decrease the longer you take to deliver them to their station, and there are achievements/goals in each level to try to hit a certain cash level

I got about 20 hours out of it to finish all the levels (including the DLC) and most achievements, I think it's a good value.
Related: Train Valley 2 has been in early access for awhile and, especially for anyone who enjoyed the first Train Valley, I'd really recommend picking it up. Despite being in EA there are 30 levels so far (I think the finished product will have 50), it's not buggy or anything, leaderboards are new-ish and still kinda suck but everything else (especially the core mechanics, which are the most important part) is solid. Lots of replayability per level to try to get all 5 stars (under a certain time limit + two other conditions), which is usually too hard on your first try until you play it and get a sense of what your ideal supply chain should look like.

The formula has changed a little - now each map starts with a couple cities that supply workers and want certain products, and you generate those products by sending workers to factories, which make products (some of which are intermediate, i.e. iron ore to supply to another factory that turns them into steel ingots) to send back to other factories/cities. It's more interesting than the first game, which was just "send this train to this other station", as it requires you to plan out the order you're going to build things.

+ a million. Easily Edmund's most complete game in terms of overall design structure. Everything is so finely tuned.

If you have beaten then game then give this criminally under-viewed breakdown a watch -

I'm lead level designer on Moving Out and we just added a steam page. Can you please add it to your wishlist because it increases visibility. When it releases I'll no doubt be showering the thread with keys.
