If you like rhythm games, Crypt of the Necrodancer is great. It's a roguelike where you have to move on every beat of the song.

So....Farm Sim 15 is super deep. Amazing all the **** they packed into this game. Very niche product though.

You might like Car Mechanic Simulator 2015. I've put 100 hours in to it and still pop in for a bit whenever there's some new DLC, other than From games the only thing I buy DLC for.

Also got it, I feel like it's gonna be diffucult though, probably similarly to Spelunky

This does actually seem relevant to my super-bizarre, lame interests

I haven't played it in a few years, but back in early alpha it was ridiculously hard. Spelunky took about 50 hours to get my first clear through the temple, I think it took 100 hours to clear the content that was in Necrodancer then, which was still missing a few extra zones. Same thing with Nuclear Throne, I think it took me around 70-80 hours to get my first "loop" through the content before it resets in a NG+ type thing. Either I'm not great at these things or their creators are bastards. I keep meaning to check out the release builds and see if they toned either down.

If you like puzzle games, I picked up The Room and A Good Snowman is Hard to Build, and both are great. Spacechem is also $1, haven't tried it yet but the other Zachtronic games are great (TIS-100/Infinifactory).

Also I bought Frozen Cortex, the football-esque sequel to Frozen Synapse, and it came with a free key if anyone is in to that. It didn't grab me like Frozen Synapse did, but looks interesting. PM me if you're a thread reg and want it, but it has a 30 day trading hold, so you'll have to wait until Jan 24th for it to be playable.

Took me 140 hours to beat Hell in Spelunky. 106% in Super Meat Boy seems piece a cake in comparison, that was just 38 hours. In Nuclear Throne I still haven't beaten Lil Hunter but I'm only 5 hours in.

SpaceChem is not just a puzzle game, it's agony, maybe one day I'll try to get to it but I foubt it.

I think SpaceChem is cool and worth a $1. I did find it very difficult though and have not made it very far. I should probably give it another try sometime when I feel up to the challenge.

So, I see all the praise for Talos, but I really disliked the demo. What's the difference between the demo and the base game?

Anyone playing Hurtworld? I haven't played a survival game before, thinking I might give that a whirl.

Yeah, it's as great as the whole genre. If you want to support another game that will never be released then sure.

It is in the monthly bundle, so I've got a spare code as I've already bought it.

First person to pm me a joke gets it.

If I do this again, I must remember to specify it must be a decent joke.

I also played the demo quite some time ago and wasn't mindblown back then. But I saw potential with great execution and interesting puzzles. It's a bit hard to explain really, great puzzles aside the world is really interesting and makes you explore and wonder about things. You'll want to read various things. Things will make you curious. There seem to be many surprises in the game. The atmosphere is one of a kind. It's a unique experience and it's only 5€ now, it's really a steal for this price.

I have clocked in 7 hours over past two days with a baby at home, I'm really trying to play every spare minute I have. I only took some breaks for Nuclear Throne when my brain was tired. It's been a while since a game made me 'I can't wait to play more tomorrow'. I should be going to bed trying to get as much rest as possible before the sunday session but I'm still playing it.

Do you generally like puzzle games? I suppose that's still a requirement to enjoy Talos.

Speaking of puzzlers, it's January! The Witness comes out this month! I am excite.

Oh **** I totally forgot. Thumbsup.gif

I think Braid made it into Xbone backwards compatability, too, might give that a once-over.

It's by the guy who made Braid and it looks like it will be sort of like The Talos Principle, it's a first person puzzle game set on an abandoned(?) island.
